At the REPUBLICAN National Convention,

Tucker Carlson kept saying “Democracy” over and over again in his speech.

So often it was hard to not notice.

I have come to despise the word "democracy."

My AP History teacher in HS went to great lengths to explain the difference between a Republic and democracy and emphasized repeatedly that we were a Constitutional Republic.

The democracy propaganda went full retard during WW2 and the "Arsenal of Democracy" slogan. My college history classes emphasized Greece as the birthplace of democracy and extolled its virtues, linking America to those principles. Id argue with my professors thanks to that HS AP History teacher but with little luck.

We are fighting against at least 80 years of gaslighting here. Entire generations propagandized into understanding nothing else to the point that what a Republic is, isnt even understood any longer.

I tell people all the time that democracy is tyranny of the majority, of the 51 over the 49, describing it as two wolves and a sheep deciding what is for dinner. Usually to blank stares.

Americans no longer understand how dangerous pure democracy is.

They keep saying Democracy because they want to eliminate the electoral college.

Well we’re a democratic republic. The democratic part denotes voting. The republic part denotes rights that can’t be voted away without a super super majority that amends the constitution. But yeah, I get you.

And we of course have article 4 section 4 of the US constitution:

The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government, and shall protect each of them against Invasion; and on Application of the Legislature, or of the Executive (when the Legislature cannot be convened) against domestic Violence.

I have a shirt that says we are a Republic not a democracy.

The word does show up on all the teleprompters.

The only democracy that he is a threat to is the democrat party.

Fun fact, the “democratic” part of the historical “democratic republican” party was added retroactively. No one called it that at the time!

I just had a quick on-line discussion with a liberal on this one. He was spewing "Yes, really scary stuff. Back channel Republicans have been talking about the US as a “republic”, not a democracy for some time. I always thought it was just semantics, now I’m thinking this is what they had in mind all along. A republic like North Korea." I let him know that we are a Constitutional Republic. Even the google says we are. He did not respond. He knows I'm right once he googled it. HA!

AND TO THE REPUBLIC FOR WHICH IT STANDS...here we go. This says it all. ONE NATION, UNDER GOD, INDIVISIBLE (what happened with the indivisible) WITH LIBERTY AND JUSTICE FOR ALL.

'democracy' means, DC, Cal. and NY City Own and RULE Over the entire USA.
