My conservative sister passed away this week but not before she mailed in her absentee ballot. She lived in Maricopa County.
Autopsy is scheduled Nov. 1st. She was 75 but on kidney dialysis. It was her time albeit sooner than many of us had expected, She is one of 6 siblings and was the first to go. We know she is in a better place.
She died alone in her home. We only found out today. The rest of us siblings all live on the East Coast. She wasn't answering her phone so we asked for a well check on her. Police said she'd been dead for 3 or 4 days. Her dog was alive but very happy to see them. I have a sibling who is her executor and he'll be flying out there to take care of all the details and bring the dog back to another sibling who wants him. In the meantime her ex husband has the dog.
I looked up AZ info on dying before election day after mailing in a ballot. Here's what I found out:
“A vote is considered legally cast once an eligible voter places it in the mail or drop box,” said Taylor Kinnerup of the Maricopa County Recorder’s Office. “It is not based on if the person is alive once it’s counted.”
I'm so sorry for your loss.
sorry for you loss. your sister got one last vote in :)
Rest In Heaven 🙏❤️ Amen
So sorry for your loss, fren. 🙏🏼
I so sorry to hear of this, pede. It must’ve been quite a shock. Saying prayers for your based sister. She voted to help save the country. I bet she can see all that is in store for us down here. We will keep fighting until it is our time to go.
It’s a blessing you have many siblings to help and to grieve alongside. So sorry.
Some people plant trees under whose shadows they will never enjoy!
My deepest condolences!!! My husband passed with similar circumstances.
Sorry for your loss. I am in the same boat having lost my Mom this summer as she was also on kidney dialysis.
Thanks everyone for your prayers and comments We knew she wouldn’t be around much longer but we didn’t expect her to go this soon.
Sorry about your sister but +1 Trump in Maricopa. Nice!
So sorry for your loss, that is very sad. I'm glad she got to cast her vote for Trump and Lake, and that is a wonderful note to end on.
I'm truly sorry for your loss. I just buried my mom a few weeks ago so I know what you're going through. Unfortunately she couldn't vote before she died, but I'm sure had she been alive one of those dem idiots would've gotten a ballot for her and filled it out for Harris. She was a big Trump supporter, but her last months were filled with the fog of dementia in a nursing home in Florida. I'm sure she would've been taken advantage of since I'm halfway across the country in Texas.
At least your sister was able to beat the system and get one last vote in. Thanks for sharing this. I actually thought about Mom not being able to vote this time during her funeral so I'm glad your sister did. Glad her dog was ok as well. Poor thing must've been terrified and heartbroken at the same time.
