I had this argument with a lefty friend about a year ago. If the government subsidizes something for 30-40 years is it really working and affordable for Americans? In a free market economy there are plenty of rich people who will gladly start the business/product that makes sense for everyone and is affordable.
The first hint something doesn't make sense is the government's subsidizing of it.
When employees who have never run a business demonstrate they have no grasp on cash flow or the effect subsidies have on artificially raising prices.
Musk is trying to be calm when talking to an obvious idiot employee of fake news, with no experience running a business.
Subsidise are not required for a viable business, this is like putting a business on welfare, there is no incentive to cut costs or stay productive / profitable. Also delete 99% of the bureaucratic red tape bs.
In a short while he's going to be like, "sooooooo, I've looked into all 438 federal agencies and sub agencies, and well, it turns out we don't need any of them."
Tesla literally received government subsidies to exist. They had special tax rates, etc. This is one of the main reasons I still don't trust Musk as well as X still banning some accounts and exhibition of two sets of rules for its members. I don't know about this guy but I do like what he's saying. Government needs to be very small. The people need to help themselves and not expect ANY government aid. This is hard to swallow in the current environment since the government is so intertwined in people's "success" with all the incentives for companies and consumers. People are conditioned to expect aid. But if that all goes away the people will have less government burden and keep more of their money for themselves. The only citizens opposed to this are lazy citizens who game the system and don't want to work or don't think they can earn on their own.

Exactly,. All it does is artificially rise the price.
It’s actually very simple. Reporters and liberals over-analyze everything.
But this is what alpha males do. Reproduce and make quick, logical decisions

Wow someone with common sense, now days that’s a super power
The United States Government has zero dollars, has only tax collection from the citizens and the United States pisses that Money away
If Elon ever worked in the restaurant industry, he would probably say "86, 86, 86."
and quit shoving 1,000 things into one bill.
Finally, an adult.
