Republican Senators Just Gifted Mitch McConnell Power To Thwart President Trump's Agenda in the Senate | WLT Report
Within hours of spearheading the Senate GOP resistance against President Trump’s first choice for Attorney General, leading Matt Gaetz to remove his name from consideration for the top DOJ position, Mitch McConnell has taken further steps to thwart Preside...
Rules Committee and Defense Appropriations Subcommittee. Would be fun to watch this play out.
What if Matt becomes Speaker?
That would be fun.
Gaetz said he is not taking his Congressional seat but will help Trump in another way as yet undisclosed. You don’t need to be a sitting Congressman to be Speaker, but this seems unlikely for Gaetz.
I agree it's unlikely, but it it would be fun.
Quite possible.
As we all know, the speaker position can be someone not associated with the House, but it would be a heavy lift to get Gaetz voted in, if he decided to go that way. But Trump, according to Gaetz, might have a plan for him other than the House.
From what i hear he resigned from the 118th Congress but was alert elected to the 119th. Not sure of this though need to confirm
I am not sure either, but whatever Gaetz is used for I believe it will be a good purpose, and not something distracting.
Yeah, he will be used for distraction many times, since he is a powerful WH asset, but in the end he will have a glorious purpose.
McConnell is as much of a traitor as No Name was. Maybe we need to start calling Mitch "New No Name."
Do people actually buy that this coffin stuffer will be able to as they say "thwart" Trumps agenda?? If you believe that you must not have been watching the same movie as me.
He was able to "thwart" Trump's agenda last term
Oh no!!
DJT might just have to divulge treasonous behavior with China.
If this fellow isn't put under investigation the moment President Trump resumes office then I will have no choice other than to believe that he is being allowed to throw a monkey wrench into the works. McConnell has been in politics for decades. Nobody can convince me there isn't a skeleton or two worth exhuming.
McConnell has been in the Senate for so long, he wasn't just going to give up all of his power. I'm guessing part of his deciding to step down earlier this year was Thune agreeing to make him Rules Chair.
01/20/25…Turtle soup anyone??
Others appear to be running scared, and yet mitch is doubling and tripling down.
I'd need direct confirmation from Q before I believe Mitch is part of anything that helps us, even playing a part in a movie.
