One of the younger cousins shouts "Osama Bin Laden" and everyone under 35 laughs. It made my Christmas getting to insert that little red pill under the radar!

I assure you that there is hope in the younger generations.
My wife teaches 6th grade Social Studies. She promotes classroom discussion and doesn't just read the propaganda from the Dept of Ed. One of the kids asked how can all the oil in the earth come from dinosaurs.
My wife (who's pretty awake) said think about all the pressure, heat and churning going on under the earth's crust. Could it be possible for the earth to continuously produce these substances? She then shared how I found in the old Oil & Gas publications at my work how some old wells that were capped in the 1950's & 60's had undergone safety checks and observed to be refilling.
These kids are pushing back on the narrative, as they are very savvy when researching the internet. 🙏
There is hope. These are the ones willing to question things. Only when you are willing to question things have you reached the THRESHOLD TO REALITY
Hubby works in oil and gas, the process where the formerly capped wells start reproducing again is called reclamation. It costs a lot less because the well is already drilled but no one wants to talk about it.
Russians figured this out in the 1950's.
It's called the Abiotic Petroleum Origin Theory.
Americans refuse to accept it because ... mo' money.
Scientists have been able to produce petroleum in a lab.
Calcium Carbinate + Iron Oxide + High Pressure + High Temp = Petroleum
CaCO3 & Fe2O3 are two of the most abundant substances in the Earth's crust.
Combined, under high temp & pressure, they create the second-most abundant liquid on Earth, after water.
I agree with you on all points except Americans not believing- they knowingly lied about oil being abiotic and then were able to lie about oil running out. Took us off of the gold standard, put us on “oil standard”, then said we were going to run out, prices rose, caused inflation, started more forever wars as well as global warming, now it’s climate change. This deepstate cabal is evil and has been working against humankind for quite a while now.
I don't know about that.
I met a guy a couple years ago who was an "expert" in the oil and gas field.
He was absolutely convinced that oil comes from dead dinosaurs and plants.
The abiotic concept was completely foreign to him, and he scoffed at it.
I know Rockefeller lied about oil, but I also think most in that industry have bought the lie -- just like doctors have done and so many other "experts."
I've been watching the Taylor Sheridan tv series "Landman" about the Oil Business in Texas. It's been pretty good so far, although some people on here may not like the language or sexuality.

Wifey = a keeper.
Our public ed need moar educators like her... unlike my far-left aunt & unc who taught in public schools in Florida for over 30+ yrs each (retired, taught from early 70's-early 2000's) and used to go skinny dipping with their HS students. But it's ok, didn't know better as they never had children of their own.
My teacher wife teaches her high schoolers to read/write cursive - it's no longer taught. When a students asks why they need to learn it, she says' "How can you read the Constitution if you can't read cursive?"
Only my youngest was deprived of learning cursive due to the scamdemic. The older boys both know it but don't have many opportunities to practice writing it since most "education" is performed on a chromebook.
Thank your wife for me for teaching something important.
I do however want all of the "Social Studies" classes renamed back to Civics or Government History, or something without "social" in the name.
Our local high school still teaches civics and fortunately the teacher also promotes a lot of class discussion.
This makes me happy. It pisses me off how so many people don't know the difference between a representative and a senator, how many senators there are per state (2 per state = 100 total), how many total representatives (435 + the non-voters like DC and the other territories), what the 3 branches of government are, why it matters, how long a senator serves per term versus a representative, and all of the other stuff I thought was standard knowledge. That's not even including the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution and the amendments, and all of the other founding documents.
I would say it is baffling, but I know it is on purpose so the government doesn't have to worry about the generations after Gen X (and some millennials) knowing that what the government is doing is wrong and illegal. I saw a trivia game show the other night where one of the questions was "How many US Senators are there?" and they got it wrong. How the hell did they even pass the qualifying test just to get on the show? They of course knew every pop culture question though...
