Based in San Francisco, CA, Turo is a small company with only 200 employees and an annual revenue of $96.0M.
The staff at Turo come from unusually diverse demographic backgrounds. The company is 45.8% female and 39.0% ethnic minorities. Even though it has great demographic diversity, Turo notably lacks in political diversity. It has an unusually high proportion of employees who are members of the Democratic Party, at 90.0%. Despite having coworkers who agree with each other about politics, employees at Turo tend to have relatively short tenures. Staff members usually stay with the company for 2.7 years.
The company was formerly called "RelayRides".
A news article from May 2024 about Turo cars being stolen then driven down to Mexico for use by cartels.
(Unconfirmed twitter post) "Turo’s been associated with renting cars used for drug trafficking and human smuggling. It’s a shady business."
It was apparently easy to rent a Turo car without proper ID checks, unlike regular rental cars.
Turo had plans for an IPO later this year. A lot of hosts (the actual car owners) werent happy with many of the recent changes leading up to the IPO:

List of current company directors:
Even if it's not nefarious and they are running a legit business, any "progressive" company will always cater to "equality and fairness" to a fault. By refusing to discern and judge, they are welcoming their own demise. {And everyone's}
And that's in the highly dubious event that they aren't complicit.
I think when it comes to complicity, it’s even worse than that. These woke companies probably have undercover operatives in IT positions sharing high level credentials, sensitive info from HR etc. “Security for thee but not for me.”
A few people run this and they hire the DEI as cover. They hire dummies who don't realize it isn't a company that's trying to grow as they are there just to support the criminal syndicate. Then the DEI think they are valuable since they have "experience" and then other companies hire them...
I guess it's just me, but this is crazy. Renting your car to random strangers? No thanks.
It's not as bad as you think.
I was actually thinking about doing this. It's like Airbnb on wheels.. i just didn't like the car requirements so i never did it
You'd have to be a special kind of "trusting" to rent you car to strangers. They trybto do this with classic cars but no way someone is driving my vintage cars without me in the passenger seat.
Truro complicit? Who know? Boycottable? Definitely.
You have nothing to lose between insurance and Turo's guarantee to replace your car. I run a fleet of 7 cars. Never had any issues at all.
As for classics, nah, those I wouldn't rent out to anyone... even with me in the passenger seat.
No need to boycott the middleman company; they had no fucking idea some psychopaths would blow up the cars or run into crowds.
Consider, you purchase a bomber from family or friend. You can rent it for $40+ per day. Meet customer at airport, Turo is the middle-man who holds the money. You deliver a clean car, full of gas - customer drives - possibly half the cost of a rental company - you make ~$200/week off a car you already own.
4-5 cars running, and you just vacuum, wash and maintain the cars. Many people make a living doing this. Older Porsche? $2,000/week isn't unusual - and YOU can reject anyone - for any reason.
TURO is reportedly the company where the Ford F-15 and the Cyber truck were rented from and used in the terrorist attacks in NOLA and Las Vegas.
Great dig anon
Could be the cartels Didn't trump say he was gonna use military asset
Well if you were going to commit a crime in a rented car/truck would you choose AVIS or HERTZ? I don't think there's anything to see in this.
Stop being a racist cunt. You want to be racist go the fuck to stormfront.
