House Democrat pushes bill requiring liability policy to buy or possess firearms
(The Center Square) – Under a bill proposed Monday, the legislative majority is pushing to require proof of “financial responsibility” before purchasing or possessing a firearm by requiring certain liability
Any law restricting or making it difficult to own a weapon is infringing on individual rights..
Same as the required car insurance scam.
More proof the left have lost their fucking minds. Massive 2A violation.
They're not stupid, they're evil. This is exactly as intended. When they can't ban stuff outright the next try to make it too expensive for most people to even participate.
Washington state has corrupt elections. It is reflected in the anti constitutional gun laws they created the get over turned every few weeks.
How many criminals carry guns... and don't have to prove "financial responsibility"? All of them.
I wonder what the monthly premium on such a proposal would cost. A hundred bucks? No thanks, I'll pass.
If you have more than 25 guns you can deposit $25,000 with the State that they will deposit and keep all the interest/investment income from. If you don't have it then they fine you. I think it's going to be pretty high. If approved then goes into law on 1 Jan 2027. Time to move
Washington Jr. Is just as swamp as Washington Sr. The state wants to be just like daddy. This is the tip of the iceburg of this state - they run it like a dictatorship and will retaliate against its people every chance it gets.
they are totally in keeping with the 2a. anyone will still be able to own a firearm, just you have to get rich enough first. anyone in america can get rich right? so what is the problem? (kek to expose my satire...)
Man that revolver is nice. I love revolvers. Ain’t worth much as self defense because of weight and rounds but man, beautiful. Looking at it I knew almost immediately it was a S&W. But it doesn’t have any stamps, which is weird. Looking into it it appears to be a Smith and a Wesson 627. Which is a .357, a nice caliber for a heavy pistol. Got one myself, a Ruger SP101 that’s very similar. The cool thing about a .357 revolver is that it also shoots .38’s. Two different kinds of rounds is nice. Heavy as a brick tho. The cylinder shape is what gave this pistol away. It’s unique. About $1200, average. Great investment tho. Gun don’t ever devalue. People buy gold and silver, I prefer Steel and brass.
Edit. Found a link. https://www.smith-wesson.com/product/n-frame-170133
Don’t mean to deter from the subject. Just got me drooling off that picture. On topic, personally I don’t worry to much about radicals going after my 2A. Let them pass whatever they want. The day I see tens of thousands of people going home to home after guns, pretty sure America, as we know it , is over.
Even the dems are starting to get the picture.

Of the 3 reps Rep Beth Doglio is on the Committee. Of 8 members every Committee member is a Democrat.
Sent: Hello, I oppose HB 1504 - 2025-26 on the grounds that this directly infringes on the right of your constituents to purchase and possess a firearm by forcing a reoccurring fee just for the ability to purchase and possess a firearm. This goes directly against the 2nd Amendment, "…the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed"
I would also include that this bill:
Half the text of the bill is management of the deposited funds that WA expects which makes this bill appear to be just another taxation method
Page 2 line 7-8, … incident arising from accidental or unintentional discharge. According to WA law Washington state law prohibits insurance that covers criminal activity as stated in 2019 by the WA State Insurance Regulator.
WA law has already assigned Misdemeanor and Felony penalties for any type of accidental discharge which.
a. RCW 9.41.230 for conduct which is not a violation of 9A.36RCW covers aiming a firearm towards any human being and willfully discharges any firearm is guilt of a Gross Misdemeanor
b. RCW 9A.08.010(1)(c), defines Recklessness; RCW 9A.36.050 Is a Gross Misdemeanor
c. RCW 91.08.010(1)(d) defines Criminal Negligence; RCW 9A.36.031(1)(d) Assault in the 3rd degree if criminal negligence, cause of bodily harm by means of a weapon
d. RCW 9A.32.060 A person is guilty of manslaughter if he or she recklessly causes death of another person and is a Class A Felony
Conclusion: If Accidental or Unintentional discharged is considered and prosecuted as a crime and WA State law already prohibits insurance for criminal activity then the entire purpose of the bill becomes monetary only in the benefit of WA for self-insured deposits or to gain control and awareness of each WA citizen’s firearm(s). A very similar Senate Bill 5963 in 2024 died in committee as this one should also. It's time to start executing the laws on the books already and stop letting career offenders out in our communities to reoffend.
I therefore ask that you oppose this bill.
