About time. Although my grandparents were from the Qualla Boundary I have several old Lumbee friends in Pembroke, Robeson County. The State has recognized them since the 1800s.

Holy shit this is crazy! My family is of the Lumbee tribe dating way back. My grandfather was a fighter pilot and a bomber pilot in numerous wars as was his two brothers. This might be the straw that breaks the camels back for my dad.

I understand the pride that comes with recognition, but I also slightly worry this will ruin the future generations of Lumbee.
