Houses were still being built in our development, so we went over and talked to one of the crews that were doing framing and asked them if they would come help us when they were done for the day. It was an hour or 2 of work for maybe 2 or 3 people, but all 6 of them said they would help and would only charge $100, a case of beer, and a bucket of KFC. Total. I had been quoted $500 (the cheapest) by builders who came out to give estimates.
Those guys had the job done in just under an hour - and did a great job.
Maybe they were just paying us back for when we asked them if they wanted any large limestone boulders a few weeks before. We told them if they could get them outside and on their trailer they could have them. One of the boulders tipped my rented Terramite when I lifted it - it was too heavy for the scoop. Four little Mexican guys no more than 5'5" tall carried them out by hand. I'm sure they broke them apart and used them for landscaping. I just needed them out of my yard so I could finish the deck I was building around my pool.
Most of them were probably illegals, with the one supervisor who spoke English being a likely citizen. I actually liked that crew though. They were nice, always waved as us, didn't have Mexican music blaring all day, and cleaned up everything including dirt and stuff that blew into the cul-de-sac. I also never found a nail or screw in the road, unlike what I found from other crews. One of them even brought over a gigantic ladder when they saw me trying to put up Christmas lights. I was able to do the ones on the front porch because it was low. He did my roof because it was 33' to the bottom of the roof and probably close to 50' to the top. Nice guys, but definitely not the norm.
If Trump can get all of the illegals out, and then establish work permits with defined time periods and limited numbers allowed per year (maybe have companies pay x$ per permit) I would be very happy with that. Not so many that all of the jobs are taken by illegals, but enough that the housing crisis will go away, we won't have a food crisis, and slaughterhouses can still operate. Then every year it should be monitored so if Americans start doing those jobs the number of permits would fall.
Personally I would require the companies that purchase the work permits bring on a number of Americans to learn how to do those jobs so they can replace the illegals at some point. I would also be ok if those that had permits for x years and were finally replaced by Americans would be allowed to apply for citizenship if they didn't have or cause any problems while on the work permits - as long as they could not replace any Americans they trained and did not require any benefits once they got here. They could earn citizenship - not steal it.

I will say that if someone tried to take her to try to get a bounty and I was there, that person would be shot as many times as was necessary. Being in TX it would be justified as well.
