If it's a taxpayer funded entity, shouldn't the employees be payed comparable to what tax payers get paid? They should get around 75K/yr. because that's about what a taxpayer gets, more or less. 500K is way too much for doing something they love to do, they should just do it for free since it's a public entity.
They always justify outrageous salaries for certain people.
Some college coaches make close to a million dollars under the guise of 'retaining talent'

Wow! Peter Sagel, who hosts a one-hour? show, once a week, gets $400,000+! Totally outrageous (as if any of them weren't outrageous enough!)
One show a week equals $8,403.11 an hour.
They are not getting paid by the hour, they are getting paid to compromise their integrity and outright lie.
And with all that cash, they have the gall to run regular ads ("sponsorships") and subscription drives.
And they still beg for donations on air
I listen to them every once in a while, when I'm on the road driving. It's all marxist propaganda 24/7.
I dared question them on Twitter under Dorsey and got almost an immediate ban. I'm sure others did as well.

I have heard much about NPR, and it is not a competitive station as their money comes from the people-it shouldn't and they should have to advertise like any other station.
