Upcoming Congressional Fiscal Policy Deadlines
Updated 1/9/2024: The President signed a continuing resolution on December 21, 2024, that runs through March 14, 2025. Lawmakers will need to pass another CR or complete appropriations to avoid a government shutdown.

Here are a few deltas for March 14th.
I would personally love to see this:
Shutdown-->recess-->recess appointments-->arrests
Exactly ^^^THIS^^^ I think it would be highly interesting to see recess appointments, a mop-up of the Old Guard (either by 'retirement' or other means), and when the government does come back online, we will find that some agencies no longer exist. It's a golden opportunity, and it wouldn't surprise me one bit if it's already in The Plan of the Trump Administration.
Everything else it has done has been done with military precision and brilliant foreplanning, so maybe a shutdown, or 10 days of darkness, would be a part of that plan.
Absolutely.
Trump train just BASHES RIGHT THROUGH all the roadblocks so he can do THE PEOPLE'S WILL/WORK!!!
After what DOGE has been revealing, only the radical left will have a problem with the government shutting down.
LET ER BLOW!!!
Go ahead...Call their bluff!
Let's SEE with CLARITY - EXACTLY what/who gets funded during this elusive shutdown threat once and for all.
The ONLY thing that could be a problem are legitimate social welfare programs (old people and handicapped) maybe not getting their gibs. Potential freak out by other gibs recipients...
Aside from this, we can go without entry to a state park for a while...C19 already showed us we can.
I don't see another omnibus continuing resolution passing.
If things go as President Trump desires there will be a budget passed through reconciliation. There won’t be a need for another CR.
The Dems will probably try to drag their feet and shut the Government down as a way to slow down President Trump’s momentum. They probably increasingly see a shutdown as the only way to stop DOGE and forestall Executive Branch downsizing.
The question is whether or not the DOGE team’s roles are protected in the event of a shutdown? And, also the people DOGE has to interface with at each Agency? If either or both are furloughed during a shutdown then DOGE’s work grinds to a stop.
jhartz, this thread has made me smile. I finally see what Q is doing and how he is gonna pull it off. It's been seven years of head scratching and thinking about what the heck is going on and FINALLY I see it. All it took was your few sentences for the pieces to lock into place. Thank you!! We will get our country back and put the rest of the world on the same course. Yep, a lot of mind wrangling had to happen for us normies to fully comprehend the plan, and now here it is. I've read on other posts where those govenment officials who get fired are going to have a hard time finding similar positions in the private sector, well, screw them. They were leeches on my tax dollar so now they can eat the dead fish of poverty as far as I care. Let the games begin and get those recess appointments in there as soon as possible!!!!!!!!!
If they block the CR then the Republican party, at least for now, will be totally in lockstep with Trump, which is a hugely positive signal for our movement.
I'm assuming that Trump getting DOGE running damn near immediately was done with the intent to pressure congress into this.
Jeffries already said the Dems will not cooperate unless the resolution has DOGE limits and USAID spending.
He basically dared the Republicans to get all their members in line and pass something without Democrat assistance.
But we know there are plenty of RINOs that will go along withr the Dems on this one.
