So I sat in on a meeting where I work, I don't work in the office so it was a new eye opening experience for me. All I can say is we are screwed as I see these same type of people infesting Washington DC. First of all I would say in my opinion everyone in the meeting was entitled and had the emotional maturity of a 10-12yr old. I would describe them as adults with an arrested development at the level of a 10 or 12yr old child, but a child that is trying to act the way they perceive a adult should act with the addition of believing they are the smartest people that ever walked on this earth. "I know I'm the King of the run on sentence, and I'm not going to bother to restructure it, so there". I will say I didn't participate in this meeting in any way, I was just fly on the wall and found the interactions fascinating. So the meeting begins with everyone having a seat with their various Frappuccino's, Macchiato's and latte's and me leaning against the wall sipping on black coffee from a Styrofoam cup. So the problem presents itself, the mid-level manager came to the supervisor to change something about something because she wasn't satisfied with this or that. Well that something caused Karen to get defensive and she spoke up and told everyone how that made her feel. Then Jen expressed how she felt about how Karen felt and apparently Jen's feelings were different than Karen's feeling's and that caused a problem, so bob piped in and f-ed up by agreeing with how Karen felt. Now Bob should have known not to affirm Karen's feeling's because now Karen and Jen are now attacking Bob about something completely unrelated to the original focus of the meeting and Bob gets that thousand yard stare men get from years of combat. After an hour of this bullshit, court was adjourned, everyone was pissed, nothing was accomplished and the problem remained. Finally the supervisor turned to me and asked if I would like to add anything, I said "Not on your F-ing life". Now sure I tried to make this as humorous as possible, but these people exhibited all the shortcomings of those I see on TV and social media. These people aren't qualified to run anything, they're juvenile and entitled. They make decisions on simple emotions, they are hateful and self righteous. They say "Those that don't know history are doomed to repeat it, and those that know history are doomed to watch all the dumb asses that don't know history repeat it.", well we're surrounded by dumb asses. I am now without health insurance because the company didn't let me know they were switching health insurance companies and I missed open enrollment. When I called my company the HR lady explained they announced it on the companies Face Book page to let us know, real professional don't ya think.
Haha! I heard a guy yesterday who works for the Fed and it sounds like theyâve gotten this type of request before. Maybe not all departments because the fear and anger is something.
