Yep. He mentioned that at the Cabinet Meeting today too. He wants our equipment from Afghanistan back. I think he wants our base back too. China has control of it now. :| Not good! lol

Yes, Donald Trump recently made statements indicating he would support providing Ukraine with more weapons. On February 25, 2025, during a press interaction, Trump mentioned that Ukraine would receive "$350 billion, military equipment, and the right to fight on" as part of a deal being negotiated, which involves access to Ukraine's rare earth minerals. He further clarified when asked about continued U.S. equipment and ammunition supplies, saying, "Maybe until we have a deal with Russia," suggesting that weapons support would persist at least until a resolution is reached. These remarks mark a shift from earlier rhetoric where he had criticized ongoing aid to Ukraine, reflecting a nuanced position tied to the minerals agreement and peace negotiations.
You misunderstood what he was saying. The question was "What does Ukraine get out of this peace deal" and Trump was pointing out to things Ukraine already got - $350 billion and weapons that they get to keep if they sign the mineral deal.
He is not talking about sending more money or weapons.
It's called negotiating from a position of strength. If he out if the gate said we will never sell them a bullet again, Putin wouldn't compromise where necessary.
Regard it as brackets to a final goal. Trump likes to keep folks guessing. It looks crude, but I think there may be a method.
One minute it is 'right to fight' and nek minute it is 'lasting peace'.
The term they are hassling with now, is cease-fire, lest it means arming up during the down-time for either party, so that they can fight harder.
Russians say no cease-fire, until Ukraine changes its racist laws, remains neutral (no NATO), and accepts the referendums that made the five oblasts Russian. That's in THEIR constitution. Plus Ukraine needs an election.
But Ukrainians won't have an election until there is a magical cease-fire. 'cos Martial Law, so a gun-point coup. No Supreme court (in prison) and no constitutional Judge (hiding abroad, cos death threats) They just voted unanimously in their parliament that 'elenski is they leader. Imagine voting FOR national elections in that atmosphere.
It's BS. They've already gotten 350 billion of our money. They aren't getting anymore money from us. In fact, Trump was not happy when he found out the EU gave 100 billion of their money to Zelensky with payback conditions.
Trump wants the USA paid back too. That's why we're getting the rare minerals deal.
Hopefully everything works out on Friday. Zelensky is supposed to fly in and sign the deal.
Trump actually talked about this at the Cabinet meeting today. The media did ask him about Russia/Ukraine at about 30 mins in on The White House channel on Youtube, Live tab.
People, if you hear things, please go straight to the horses mouth and listen to him. Stop relying on commentaries from 3rd parties. This is how rumors, lies and fallacies spread.

Thank you for the video link. I watched it from 5:00 minutes in.
I think you misunderstood what he was saying. He said 350 billion dollars in lots of equipment, military equipment, & the right to fight on.
President Trump also said that if it was not for our military equipment, the war would have been over very quickly... (meaning that Ukraine would have lost to Russia very quickly 3 years ago).
Who said he is selling more weapons to Ukraine. Sounds like BS to me.
President Trump said this during a EO signing yesterday.
All I know is Trump wanting weapons left by 🇺🇸 withdrawal of Afghanistan

👍 I wanted to check it as well, as you said, seemed confusing.
I don't agree with everything he says - but, I don't agree with everyone either. I form my own opinions. I'm old and that is how I roll :)

So they are still arguing past each other.
Weapons based on pagers?

Yeah, this is from an EO signing yesterday...
Unless he's trying to trace the flow of Ukr weapons to their final destination and needs to deliver one last shipment for that.
