Have a Friend with Ulcers & Bacteria in the Stomach
🧐 Research Wanted 🤔
A friend reached out to me to ask if there is anything they could eat to take care of stomach ulcers & heal up some bacteria in their stomach.
I let them know this might be one of those bite the bullet & got to the hospital situations, but they have seen some of the info that I have been able to share with them about "coincidences during COVID" & was hoping you knowledgeable frogs might know of something that could help heal up their gut regardless if they end up in a hospital to treat that bacteria.
Aloe Vera juice will help heal the ulcers and reduce inflammation, just for a start.
Thank you. I will be passing this along.
"H pylori" is more common with those who take purple pills such as nexium.
So that should be looked at first.
Thank you, great idea. I will be passing this along.
Unfortunately, so-called "acid reflux" is part of a wide range of health problems that ultimately, are due to chronic inflammation and poor diet.
One should look to avoid seed oils and insulin resistance, for starters. Not easy nowadays for all but the most zealous "health enthusiasts"....
I have heard that taking a few ( 6 ) drops of Lugols iodine / potassium iodide can kill stomach bugs. If this were me, I'd try this.
But look it up.
My great grandmother used to tell me this. I had forgotten about that wisdom, thank you.
Gotta heal the ulcers first which may require the doctor. After that gotta keep the stomach acid at a proper pH so that bacteria don't thrive in there to begin with. Were they following some low sodium diet? Weak stomach acid is a consequence of not consuming enough chloride.
I am not sure, but I can ask. Thank you for this helpful information.
Grapefruit seed extract will cure stomach ulcers fren.
According to research, BPC-157 peptide has shown potential to help with stomach ulcers by promoting healing and protecting the stomach lining, with studies demonstrating its ability to reduce the size of induced gastric ulcers in animal models, sometimes even performing better than standard ulcer medications like famotidine; essentially acting as an "anti-ulcer" peptide due to its cytoprotective properties.
Key points about BPC-157 and stomach ulcers: Mechanism: BPC-157 is believed to work by enhancing blood flow to the stomach lining, promoting cell regeneration, and reducing inflammation, thereby aiding in the healing process of ulcers.
Research findings: Studies have shown that BPC-157 can effectively reduce the size of induced gastric ulcers in animals when administered via injection or directly into the stomach.
Potential benefits: May help prevent the development of ulcers Can potentially accelerate the healing of existing ulcers May provide protection against stomach damage caused by factors like NSAIDs or alcohol
Thank you! Any chance you have a link to this information. Seems pretty good.

Thank you for that!
Yes go to your trusted doctor, been there and it was painful. Antibiotics, and bland diet
Not just a "Doctor" (MD). Find a doctor who is also a DO - Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine - DO's ARE allowed to suggest alternative therapies, where MD's can ONLY suggest and prescribe medications
There are several recipes online, but the basic healing for ulcers is Vitamin K found in cabbage juice. Because it can be strong it is mixed with carrot juice and celery juice and a little ginger. Along with the cabbage juice mixture, eat sauerkraut and kefir or any other fermented foods. I have also started taking 1 tablespoon of colloidal silver daily. Symptoms have disappeared rapidly.
Thank you for this great info, I will pass it along!
Read the book Good Energy and follow the dietary recommendations. Ignore the weird new agey bits.
Authentic mastic gum Bismuth Glutamine Butyrate Zinc carnosine
use the "Gerson therapy" and probably bismuth therapy along with that would do well.
If this is an H-Pylori infection a good natural remedy is Mastic Gum capsules (pistacia lenticus resin). 1-2 capsules taken between meals twice a day is usual dosing. Bleeding ulcers are dangerous and require medical intervention.
IIRC ----- bismuth + clarithromycin
Bovine colostrum may help
So I like ground cayenne pepper. I put it in my collagen power with water. I also add cayenne pepper and salt to yogurt (and a bit of water). I make my own yogurt most of the time. Try Sker to make your own yogurt.
Then I make homemade quick pickles with cucumber in a brine solution of 2 cups of water and 1 tablespoon of pink salt.
These are supposed to grow good bacteria.
It's caused by an anger conflict, an "indigestible situation". If the person can release or resolve it, their ulcers will subside.
I've seen this work for hundreds and hundreds of people. Cured or life. A perforated ulcer can kill and it's quite an ugly and a poor way to go. Recovery is miserable, as well.
"1st for drug naive pts"
(1) "For treatment-naive patients with H. pylori infection, bismuth quadruple therapy for 14 days is the preferred regimen when antibiotic susceptibility is unknown (strong recommendation, moderate-quality evidence). This therapy typically includes a bismuth salt (e.g., bismuth subcitrate or subsalicylate), a nitroimidazole (usually metronidazole but possibly tinidazole), tetracycline (preferred over doxycycline), and a proton-pump inhibitor (PPI), according to the guideline. Other suggested first-line treatment options are rifabutin triple therapy (conditional recommendation; low-quality evidence) or dual therapy with a PCAB and amoxicillin (conditional recommendation; moderate-quality evidence) in patients without penicillin allergy."
(2) For non-naive pts failing on above:
This regimen is defined as bismuth, 300 mg at least four times daily; metronidazole, 1.5 to 2 g daily in three or four doses; tetracycline, 500 mg four times daily; and twice-daily standard-dose PPI for 10 to preferably 14 days."
^^**MOST COMMONLY USED BECAUSE IT WORKS...WITH STRICT PATIENT COMPLIANCE. *** It's just 2 weeks. CANNOT drink alcohol with metronidazole (or ulcers for that matter). Will have "Antibuse/disulfuram reaction" . Dog sick.
***Tetracycline is an antibiotic that is derived from certain species of bacteria, known as actinomycetes. Specifically, it is produced by the fermentation of the bacteria Streptomyces aureofaciens and Streptomyces rimosus. During fermentation, these bacteria release enzymes that synthesize tetracycline and other related compounds. The enzymes catalyze a series of chemical reactions that convert simple sugars into the complex tetracycline molecule. After fermentation, the tetracycline is extracted from the bacterial culture and purified to produce the antibiotic used in medicine."
***The basic structure of metronidazole comes from 2-nitroimidazole, which was isolated from Streptomyces bacteria"...with some lab manipulation. Both of the above are natural substances. " like vs like" kills best.
Bismuth/ bismuth subsalicylate (Peptp tabs): "The most important ores of bismuth are bismuthimite and bismite. Bismuth occurs naturally as the metal itself and is found as crystals in the sulphides ores of nickel, cobalt, silver and tin. Bismuth is mainly produced as a by-product from lead and copper smelting, particularly in the USA. Not gonna die from trace amts of lead in 14 days, but may die from perforated gastric ulcer.
PPI (Proton pump inhibititor) Synthetic , meaning not naturally occurring, but the basic molecules are organic in nature and are tweaked with other organic moities. " All currently approved PPIs are benzimidazole derivatives: heterocyclic organic molecules that include both a pyridine and benzimidazole moiety linked by a methylsulfinyl group. The prototypical example of this structure, omeprazole, was the first clinically useful PPI. Subsequently introduced drugs include lansoprazole, pantoprazole, rabeprazole and the stereo-isomeric compounds esomeprazole and dexlansoprazole.10 Although each of these drugs has different substitutions on their pyridine and/or benzimidazole rings, in general they are remarkably similar in their pharmacological properties." ** best for short term use only...7-12 weeks**
If it's bad, time to buckle down and rid yourself of this insidious bacteria...Heliobactor pylori, which thrives in high acid environments. Triple whammy therapy.
Smoking, dipping is also a no-no...causes relesse of copius amounts of acid. 4 things to avoid..caffeine, nicotine, alcohol and fats ...all release the HCL acid monster. You can resume, by slow introduction of these foods some tiime after healing. Good time to kick the nic, though. Some people able to still eat hot peppers...releases a gastro-protective prostaglandin...some people can't. I eat habaneros and ghosts for stomach protection, but for taste first !
Like I said, changes lives for the better, HB. (HelioBacktor?) NCSWIC
Good luck, Patriot. Not for big pharma, but the data is irrefutable. I quit/shunned their nefarious ways yrs ago after achieving my Dee Arr Period in such studies and clinical practice.
Anecdotal...cured my stubborn 80 yr old mom. Happy mammy now lol.
Homemade Sauerkraut. and LOTS of it. May help heal it up. Zillions of good bacteria in the homemade stuff, and restores the balance in your gut so it can heal itself. Or Kimchee, of the liquid one I forgot. All you do is put the correct ration of salt to cabbage, pack it down put weight on it and wait for the wonderful to happen. I use red and green cabbages. OHHHHH SOOOO GOOOOD!!
That sounds wonderful, I will need to try it myself. I should grow some this year too.
Manuka honey is a known cure for ulcers.
I had never hear this, thank you!
