Yeah, you say that out of one side of your mouth. But china ( small c) has been ripping us off for 50+ years. Reminder, remember when they bribed congress for "" most favored nation status "" yes the ass clowns still have this status. Until we get a handle on our corruption you can handle the little tariff.
Next, make it illegal for any communist citizen or sharia citizen to own farmland or any other land within 1500 miles of a military base. And has there been any lawsuits yet over the anchor baby EO?
Their labor costs are so low, they’ll still be able to sell stuff. We are tired of getting ripped off so I’m happy we are leveling the playing field. The stock futures are way down today but hopefully they recover after all the realization of tariffs occurs.
The vast majority of Fortune 500 US companies went to China to make cheap shit for us to consume as quickly as possible to feed their profit wheels.
Everything is designed to fail days after the short term warranty expires. Its called designed obsolescence. It's all done to spin the wheel of purchase behavior faster and faster.
Our grandparents bought a refrigerator once. We have to buy them every 5 to 7 years (or less).
It's disgusting. I am a huge fan of entrepreneurship and business freedom, but designing things to fail simply to force people to buy more of it just makes us poorer. Rather than putting money towards investments and quality experiences, Americans are forced to buy more cheap shit from China to serve the greed of big business. Fluck them all.
I agree, just had a riding mower fixed, the service guy said all mowers are not designed to last and have to be replaced. I’ve looked at the newer ones, thin metal bodies.
For what it is worth, I have heard a "fabricated deck" is designed to last longer than non-fabricated.
In addition, I laughed the other day when I saw a window sticker on the back of a guy's truck that said "YouTube Certified Mechanic."
I laughed because that is what I have become. Rather than take my mower into get fixed over the years, I've resorted to YouTubing it and fixing myself.
It is actually quite fun. It takes me a long time, because I'm not a natural mechanic, but I am getting better.
There is something rewarding about having grease under your finger nails, bleeding knuckles, and a stained t-shirt. It's a similar feeling to dirt under the nails from gardening and growing our own food.
During the plandemic I learned to embrace more self-reliance. We could absolutely still have a SHTF moment and the more we know how to do ourselves the better. Teaming up with neighbors to fix things is also fun. It's a great way to learn and also pass the time while being productive.
I know this is a long-winded response for you. I'm sorry about that.
That means that President Trump’s plan is effective.
What's Pooh gonna do about it?
They will make their cheap shit even cheaper.
Oh, wait, they can't. Its already the cheapest shit on earth.
Cry me a River
Speaking of rivers, how will anyone survive without an inbound river of plastic crap? Those poor landfills will have so much space!
A very good point

For some reason I didn't notice this the first time through..or the second. Here is to noticing now.

I the tariff thing may mean frickin' ebay won't be a China import monopoly anymore.

The mood hit me. 😉
I actually do some work on it, but sometimes I just send it out when it gets too deep for me. Next time it needs major work, I’ll replace it.
