Well Trump most likely had his engineers on the ground watching the process from manufacture to, in the container.
It is how Apple does it with foxconn. What most do not know about Apple in China? Apple has 100's of american engineers that live in China and babysit foxconn as they build the phones.

We will never have a healthy relationship, business wise, with China.

The effect on producer margin. Low margin business goes into the tank. Job losses in the millions as a consequence. This totally wrecks CCP social security, bloating their debts even more: 350% of GDP and rising. Just think of what this means: CCP is living 2.5 years ahead of where they are!!!
I would suggest CCP starts to eye extending the rehabilitation projects on the Löss Plateau (See John D. Liu), which would underpin rural life, instead of racing towards more exports and lacking domestic consumer demand. I mean, how else can you expect demand to grow if there:
is no job perspective to grow income
the limited way in which people can grow there money with investments took a nose dive of 10-20%
Housing bubble is about to explode
there is single silver lining, or should I say gold lining:
If people had invested in gold as they can since a couple of years.
economic depression means less CO2 production so now CCP can claim being the green winner.
With regard to buying land, that is impossible in CCP CHINA. The best one could do is lease it, which is effectively the case in the US as well.
To obtain an allod (= all = all, od = Germanic: öde/ land) title i.e. freehold title / land patent that is still possible in the US, and perhaps in some other jurisdictions in the world.
Generally, thanks to socialist policies, people no longer have a freehold title.
That said: in terms of housing bubble .... I'd rather have land than investments in fancy sounding cities and new builds. Cities are prisons where, if .gov want so, you could not even stand on the balcony and smoke a joint.
A friend of mine is a grower of all kinds of plants and trees. And somewhere on his premise, he has some interesting herbs, that we smoke from time to time in good spirits around a campfire!
In a city you'd need flushing toilets, waste disposal, etc. On your own land, if you plan it carefully, you waste is minimal and usually recyclable.

It has taken time for the emerging Russia to appear.
Chinese sleepers are everywhere in this country. That great deception needs ending.
