Big pharma pays Doctors big money for promoting/prescribing drugs to their sheep.
Not a cure, only a lifelong treatment which usually leads to more health issues requiring more drugs, which lead to more health issues requiring more drugs, which lead to more health issues which lead to.....etc etc..
When my husband had to have his gallbladder removed, he was given questionnaires that asked, several different times, "did he feel like harming himself", "did him ever feel down", "was he happy with his life", "did he ever feel suicidal", and on and on.... Even to the point of having a girl come to his room to ask him those questions in person.
I was rather rude to her and basically told her the questions were ridiculous.. He was there because of his gallbladder.... Not for any other reason....

I had a tooth root puncture into my sinus cavity and cause an infection. I went to an oral surgeon who took it out and fixed the issue. He put a fentanyl patch on me during the procedure. Then when it was done I asked him about pain the rest of the day and the next (I've had oral surgery before). He finally wrote me a script for (2) Vicodin. 2! The man just used Fentanyl on me.
Now here comes the pun. Getting him to even write a script for opiates was ..... like pulling teeth.
I was saying this almost 25 years ago. Today's physicians SHOULD just be open about it. I compare them to NASCAR, only the corporate sponsorships are not adorning or plastered all over the Scrubs and lab overcoats. Add to this ALL of the MSM evening "News" with their "Disease of the Day" sponsorship and anyone with half a functioning brain can figure this out. This is how entrenched big pharma has become in our daily lives. A pill for this. An injectable for that. Defecate in a box and put it in the mail.......Yikes!!

Not only that but all the stupid supplements advertised on Fox News commercials. Though, a lot less harmful, but I question if they really do help.
Like those veggie/fruit capsules. That's advertised 24/7.
Read “Blind Spots” by Dr. Mark Makary. He just recently said he’s going to kick out any pharma bros from being able to sit on FDA panel.
The doctor in that dialogue is a coward and sellout. Unintelligent to the point he can't think his way to doing the right thing.
Just say no. Give them the reasons why you won't take it. Watch them squirm.
