I have a question for you brothers and sisters :
What was the information you obtained and where were you at when you finally realized Jesus is real?
I was on the GAW, and I was going through the Q posts and I saw the "This is going to be Biblical" and someone on GAW said that Q meant it literally. This piqued my curiosity (I have been a lifelong atheist / agnostic).
Thats when someone mentioned Passion of the Christ and I knew there was so much controversy surrounding it, and I never understood why Mel Gibson was so hated after that. So I decided to watch it with my wife.
In the movie, it suddenly all clicked. I understood what was really bothering the Cabal. Jesus, who never got angry at anyone and was so compassionate, got mad at the money lenders and even used violence against them. It was the very same people who then hounded Pilate to crucify him.
I had just finished watching about the central banks and how they are oppressing us, and it just clicked that Jesus was fighting the very same evil - the bankers in his time - who oppressed people using their knowledge of money and debt.
This is the kind of highly specific detail that, if someone was making up the story about Jesus, could never have included in the Bible. It was not a coincidence, it was real. After that I decided to buy a Bible and once I finished reading all the Gospels I had no doubt in my heart.
So opposite to lot of people happened to me. I found Jesus from Q rather than the other way round.
Wow that’s amazing! I’m glad for you. I avoided watching Passion of the Christ for so long because of the brutality (maybe not correct word). I love watching historical shows fighting with swords and Viking type weapons. So maybe it was because of Christ and the brutality. I finally watched it about ten years ago & again in the last year. I’m excited for the movie.
The extreme cruelty was so hard to watch, but I think its important to watch it, because it gives a small glimpse into what Jesus had to suffer to save the world.
I grew up in a very old (pre civil war) Methodist southern church and knew about Jesus all my life. It wasn’t until I was about 28 and mom to a sweet little girl that I discovered Jesus Christ as my lord and savior. I started going to church again when she was 2 or 3 because I felt she needed it. I found out I needed! I got into watching Billy Graham a lot & his message was what lead to me being saved. As a child I had a lot of trauma from a verbally abusive alcoholic dad, I always knew someone was looking out for me, my mom, grandparents & great grandma. It took twenty something years to figure out it was Jesus and their prayers watching over me.
Jesus corroborates His reality to me every day. My "finally realized" occurs every time I see God's work and feel His Omnipresence and know the Truth within me.
I read God's Word that Jesus' apostles wrote. I've read works written by apologists and find them compelling and hard if not impossible to dispute. But the most compelling argument to me is how God works in my life and lifetime.
With that realization about the reality of Jesus and God's work through Him is the fact that I fail daily to perfectly follow Him. So, even that emphasizes the reality when I remember the part about Jesus' promises to His own. Even when I can't, God keeps His promises. So I just praise Him every day. Forever.
do not remember ever not realizing Jesus was not real. Maybe with all the chaos I grew up with my parents somehow taught me that or it is in our DNA. Faith is required and I do know many people struggle with faith.
when I was facing the abyss of darkness and I prayed and asked what I should do, my thought was to buy a one way plane ticket and left everything and everyone behind.
I am not wealthy, I am not rich, I am content and everything I prayed for that day I have received and more. For me I am nothing special, but Jesus made many promises and these are Biblical Principles. These Principles require faith. This is why I pray to be weak. Yet in my weakness I was able to personally see and realize what Jesus has done.
One persons Abyss is another persons playground though. We all have individual requirements and such. Just as me praying for weakness does not make me weak.

I cannot seem to pinpoint exactly when I knew he was real because I've always kind of just known. Unfortunately, I have lived a very shameful life off and on, and I've been back and forth and in and out of a relationship with Christ, but then one day, it just changed. I didn't want to "do my own thing" anymore. I started wanting to "do life His way" and suddenly I discovered there is so much peace in living out His will and trusting Him through it all instead of seeking my own glory. He has never let me down, and no matter how may times I have screwed up, He has never not be able to clean up the messes I have made and put me back together. I feel so sorry for those who don't know Jesus is the real deal. If they only knew what I know and could just rest in Him.
Same here. I have just always kind of known. It is one of those things you know that you know and no one will ever be able to convince you otherwise. When you let The Will of God have dominion in your life, you may face hard times, but you will always know He Has your back. This produces an astounding inner confidence that no fear can overcome. It is AWESOME!!
