Can't give you the name for an herbologist, but ... If you work to change the detox pathway (i.e., from lungs & lymph to detoxing through the colon which has a much greater elimination capacity with symptoms that are not so painful), a regular enema or diuretics will do that for you. If you drink a few glasses of heavily salted water, the salt helps draw out the toxins and performs like a diuretic by provoking diarrhea to eliminate the toxins. You'll have to rehydrate afterwards.
Again, eliminating through the colon is quicker, more efficient, and less painful than what it sounds like you went through. And maybe go a bit slower with a lower dose next time. Good luck!
Tr: Herx reaction - you did the best thing which is to drink electrolytes. Water will come up again, literally. One needs to ease it in with electrolytes.
In such emergencies, I also find a jar of applesauce handy. With a spoon. Anytime the panic starts, swallow one tablespoon of it. Focus on it cooling your stomach. This workss for acid reflux too - i've discovered recently - At first, you will be needing it every 15 minutes, by the bed, and then your body will start calming down and it will become once an hour or so, and then you can sleep.
People don't realize the symptoms of intense thirst from kidneys being in distress: it can make you feel like you are going to die. And usually, they'll take some mediation to feel better, and only make things worse. (They will claim they 'took a painkiller, because I felt so bad, and it didn't work', etc.).
The drill is. Drink a pint of electrolyte-laced water, and then decide whether you need XX. Headaches, rashes, bowel stoppage, sore urethra, you name it.
So, these days, I gift eletrolytes to people, because it is so easy to forget to drink, especially for slightly demented oldies. Wait, let me fetch you a glass.
Also: Ivermectin is a parasite cleanse, and in a normal dose will loosen the bowels marvelously.
Epsom salts baths are good too. Really. Bathe in them using a cupful in the bath. Take a bottle of electrolyes with you and pretend you are 'taking the waters'...
For acid/sour stomach I keep chocolate Hagen daz in the freezer - one tablespoon swings your pH gently and quickly to alkaline. The reason this specific brand is because it's made with minimal crap AND the chocolate is processed with alkali, which does what we need.
Lately, while doing chlorine dioxide, herx reactions have been more prevalent. Typically woken up in the middle of the night with hives, severe itching etc.
I'm gonna get some applesauce and try your suggestion - Thank you!
PSA: If you are experiencing a Herx reaction, DO NOT take a Benadryl!!! It will make it worse!!!

Oh and natural remedies can be very, very strong.
My first herx reaction was a looong time ago, when I decided to 'replace' coffee with dandelion coffee.
Ouch and barf.
Thanks for sharing this - much appreciated!
