LOL, that's what I said when POTUS was serving his first term. Put alligators in the Rio Grande and have viewing glass like in aquariums. No one unless they're high or stupid would try to cross. We had a weekend house in the swamp and would see gators all the time. They are as scary as hell and mean to boot.
Definitely NOT comms... this oversized iguana wandered into a local road and had to be relocated. The Onslow County (NC) Sheriff's Dept responded and the critter was relocated. The OCSD has a sense of humor and posted on Facebook about the gator being "detained for being a dinosaur without proper papers."
I'm not on board with the whole "everything is comms" stuff, but I do think it is unusual that NYT writes a story about an average sized alligator, doing what alligators do, and getting relocated as happens quite routinely, and named it Pepe. What could possibly make that worthy of a NYT article? And yea NYT is a rag and they will do anything to get clicks but this just seems off. Quite possibly it is just exactly what it is and nothing more. Just seems weird to me.
I doubt it. I live in the area. It's "gator country" around the rivers and beaches here. I think the sheriff was just having fun with the deportation theme, which just shows how much things have changed since January.
He should identify as a frog and be on his way.
Relocate to Rio grande

My thoughts exactly!
Hm, could this be comms of some kind?

Sometimes things are just what they seem to be.

No, it's comms, definitely comms.
10-ft long gator, 400 pounds = 10-4 good buddy?
"The term "10-4" is a code used primarily by emergency personnel, such as police officers, to indicate acknowledgment or understanding of a message."

It does make a person wonder.

“Gonna catch me a big alllliigator” - Troy Landry
Could I get a dinosaur permit for my mother in law, a Screeching Reptilligator licence?
What Democrat Senator is going to have Margaritas with him?
Detained=illegal…kek
I hope they leave him alone and put him back where he belongs
That's about the only way you're going to be 400-pounds of solid muscle is if you're an alligator.
When did they weigh it?
