I feel like his messages have become More welcome to God and to Christianity in general since his first election and especially since the assassination attempts.As a believer, I did not vote for him because of his Christian beliefs, but I am more satisfied now With his current expressions of faith. Idk what it all means during this time of tumult but I’m hopeful he is led by an intent towards peace.

He took time to thank God in particular during the address to the nation. I thought that was wonderful. Oh, and just so all of the Jew haters on here know - I do and always have and always will support Israel - just as I support our president. I am not going to debate anyone over this. I am not saying this to try and change anyone's minds. Haters will be haters, regardless. You guys do you and I will continue to do me.
Oh my goodness, I forgot to answer your question. I feel he has always been religious. But he does have reason to be even more so after all he has endured.
I love how supposed "Christians" can hate hard on the Jews, never seeing themselves as being among the Bible-predicted "whole world" aligning against them at the end.
The Bible doesn't promise that Israel would always be right. Just that God will bless those that bless them...and the opposite.
