There is a massive rescue operation going on, so the more prayers now the better (while they still have a chance to possibly be rescued).

Itโs not fishy. The summer camps out in Hunt are beautiful but very remote. This is the 100 year flood that we know will happen eventually but pray itโs not when weโre here. They successfully evacuated over 700 campers from camp mystic and thousands more from the other camps. The loss of these girls is devastating, but itโs a miracle that number isnโt higher.

Thanks for your prayers everyone. I don't care whose girls they are, and I don't know any of them. I could just imagine how the younger girls were feeling if they were swept down the river. It appears they were since 2 were rescued in a tree.
Please keep them in your prayers tonight. It's not cold here so there could be more in trees somewhere that could still be found. Hopefully they use infrared cameras on the helicopters tonight. I imagine that will be far easier than trying to see them in the daylight.
I was trying to figure out why this hit me so hard when I know nobody out there. Sure I always want people to be safe and rescued if necessary. This was different though. I guess because I have 2 daughters and a grand-daughter it just got to me.
Let's hope there is good news tomorrow morning.

I have some family, brother of a cousin and his own family, that were in one of the campgrounds in the flood area. No word about them.
I've heard that the river may have risen to around 30 ft in a matter of 2 or so hours. My wife described the accounts of it being like an inland tsunami.
Last report I saw is that choppers are constantly patrolling looking for survivors and I think the area is expected to see even more rain tonight.
My neighborhood is right next to that campground. We got evacuation orders at 4:30 am. I donโt know where anyone from the campground went but I saw a lot of rvโs parked at Walmart so Iโm hoping most of them got out. I saw the first responders and the choppers though, I know not everyone survived.

Texas DPS is calling it a "Mass Casualty Event.
Because it is. Over 20 confirmed dead and around 100 missing. This is a river town with a huge Fourth of July festival and countless summer camps. There were so many people here camping or in rvโs that arenโt from here and donโt know how serious flash flooding is. The river rose 25 ft in 45 minutes.

Itโs definitely happening. Flood swell is on its way downstream and more flood prone areas are being evacuated. Perhaps the ones who fell to this foul weather wonโt die in vein.

Not everything on the mainstream media is fake. Do they lie a lot? Definitely. But they have to tell enough truth for people to still listen to them. And they are definitely telling the truth about this.
