We've been slowly normalized to expect traffic wherever we go. It shouldn't be the case. If the gov't gets off their asses and deports the +75M illegals, our country would begin a new Golden Age.

So. Cal. Morning Commute: Driving from The OC to a Compton CA job site at 5am, NOW TAKES 45mins. At that time of the morning, it’s back to being a WHITE Pickup Truck “NASCAR TRUCK RACE.” ALL headed to their job sites at 6am.
What’s MISSING??
ALL of the Toyota Corollas, Honda Civics and Nissan Sentras, typically driven by the masses of the unskilled laborers.
Where are they?

and more importantly, when will the cars carrying the people replacing those unskilled labor jobs show up?
That is traffic that usually only happens on days like Christmas, but even then there was usually traffic.
I lived in SoCal for decades and traffic was always terrible.
Didn't matter the day or the time.
We were visiting family in So Cal the day of the lockdown announcement. The freeways were empty. We drove from San Diego to Los Angeles IN ONLY ONE HOUR!!!

I understand the point you are attempting to make… Traffic during COVID was lite and many times non existent. I get it.
However, let me be the first to call BULL SHIT. In order for you to achieve this, your vehicle would need to be traveling 120 miles per hour, for over 1 hour.
DID NOT HAPPEN. You would have been pulled over in the California Highway Patrol’s “speed trap,” in San Juan Capistrano, CA.
From one county to the other is not quite as far and we were sailing but not over 100mph.
Haven't been able to do that since the 80s!!!!

Anecdotal but last Monday when I was driving in Arizona from Mesa to North Scottsdale during rush-hour, there was no stopping traffic. None. I was wondering where all the people were. 🤷♀️

Maybe I'm ignorant but the weekend of July 4th a lot of west coast cities would be emptier.
Not sure this directly correlates to mass deportations until we see other weekends

My Mexican neighbors have been largely invisible since all of this started. They use to be very active from Friday night to Sunday night. Beer, friends and music. Running around etc. Loud until 2:00am.
We barely see them now.
I'll bet you miss the open kegs and mariachi music playing until 4am every night. Used to live next to a 4 bedroom house with 12 men plus the 'host' family living there. County actually had to make a law limiting occupancy in single family homes. There are still multiple high occupancy homes all around but the nightly garage and driveway parties stopped and the 'guests' don't come home to park until dusk. This is in an Atlanta suburb, but I suspect this is happening everywhere.
Here in the northeast it's the Dominicans. It has quieted down a little but they are still as obnoxious as ever. The worst are the anchor babies that grew up here and feel they can do what-ever-the-hell they want because they are citizens.
They need to pass a law that if you ever received ANY form of public assistance you can't become a "naturalized citizen".
Not to mention hospitals, schools, trains, Costco ( they stand 5-6 deep in the middle of the isle with a blank look) and DMV.......
