I've heard that argument. It sounds like wanting to have your cake and eat it, too. For what it is worth, that is not the summary description found in Wikipedia. It is a creature of the Federal Reserve Act and is "an instrument of the U.S. Government." If it is established by Congress, I have a hard time considering it "private sector." And where does it get its authority to do anything, except by exercising delegated government authority? I think that zipper that needs to be undone.
If it has regulatory functions, those are executive functions. This situation of Congress creating extra-constitutional entities has to be terminated.
much stuff is funny in the USA. It is a mirror on many things. One of the best and easiest examples to absorb is the 1st Amendment and the 5 parts. Ask yourself if you are in a USPS if you are not breaking any law can the USPS tell you to leave the building if you are in the Lobby?
Not trying to mock you or anything. It is like a thread and pull on it. Once you see one of the tricks we have been brainwashed into over the years in the USA.
Many will say the USPS is also a private company and yet it is in the same realm as the FED is.
if your very first reaction is the USPS has the right to trespass you from the Lobby without a crime, you are 100 percent wrong. It is a public place, just as if you are on a public sidewalk. The only difference is when the Lobby closes and they lock the door you have to leave. Yet most Post Offices are 24/7 inside the front area.
Also a little extra on USPS the local LEO doesn't have jurisdiction at the USPS. It is Federal (Public) Property and not State (Public) Property.
we are trained to worry about offending others and their feelings... well the feelings in the USA have ran rampant for far too long. We have to learn to see the difference between the mirror. :)
yes. I drive both types daily covering the State I am in. The same mentality is seen in both areas when it comes to this subject. People think the USPS is a private business and it is not. The workers in them also think it is a private business and it is not. The same facts cover both. One of the Principles in the USA used to be a Biblical Principle as well. Do not bear false witness--be honest--so what has occurred to many people is they will bear false witness and cause innocent people to be arrested and so forth because they are the Manager of a USPS or a worker their and the Police will come and take the USPS Manager's false witness as truth.. this has caused that situation in much of Public Property buildings and Commies love using that tactic to take freedom away. In the Rural areas much of the same mentality exists about bearing false witness. It is a Mirror and one key ingredient I used to start trying to see better is Abortion. I came to the conclusion that is the Cross Roads that leads Americans to be a Honest or a DisHonest person. Many have turned things into Politics and yet Even the Democratic Party has taken the Donkey as their Symbol. Jesus road on the Donkey and they also took the Rainbow as their Symbol for their flag. God used the Rainbow as a Symbol..... It was also about destroying the fabric of Christianity in which USA derived from.
The fed is not a federal agency, it's an independent private sector entity.

In urban areas, I guess. In rural and small-town America, some may be, but most aren't.

It appears the Board of Governors is accountable to Congress but the banks are separate and can do their own thing.

In my book, supervision is subordination, so even though they may run loose like range cattle, they still have the brands on their flanks.
Are there any kind of boycott of loans or other bank instruments that citizens could do to force the issue?
