Flew here Thursday to go on the At Sea With LT cruise that starts tomorrow. Not a single MAGA hat seen, nothing patriotic on t-shirts but masks galore.
Gas ia 5.21.gallon if you use a debit card.
I miss Alabama already

A city known for its coffee... needs to wake up and smell the coffee.
Good one!
Every man to his own taste, but Starbucks brew is just too harsh for my liking. I sometimes think the popularity is a kind of fad to see how teeth-gritting it can get, in order to be exclusively fashionable. Only the cognoscenti are devoted enough to be customers...clients...victims...self-abusers....whatever...
Lol, welcome to the "westside of the mountains". Been this way since the start and won't change.
It grew up in central WA. Became a cop in western WA for over a decade and threw in the towel. Fled back to east of the mountains.
Western WA is a lost cause cesspool shit-hole.
Not "since the start." It was a very beautiful and agreeable city up through the 50s and 60s, and Democrats were reasonable people. Then the slide began. The 2004 gubernatorial election when Dino Rossi lost on the third recount to Christine Gregoire was the sign that our elections were tainted.
Very true. That's before my lifetime. In the 90s visiting Seattle for things like a mariners game was a good time and it did feel like the Emerald City.
When King County "found" an extra 7,000 ballots to finally give Gregoire the win was my awakening to how WA runs elections is corrupt. It still amazes me how I can explain to my friends and family how chain of custody for mail in ballots is a joke and how easy it is to manipulate and create fraudulent ballots on top of that to control an election is too easy yet they refuse to even consider the corruption.
I have a fraternity brother who is a Democrat and part of the League of Women's Voters group that counts the ballots. He is an honest person, but short on connecting the dots. At the suggestion that there could be election fraud, he takes great umbrage over the idea that the ballots may be counted wrong. Of course, he fails to consider that counting fraudulent ballots accurately avails nothing.
But by the 90s, you could tell something was sour. A former colleague at Boeing had been elected to on the County Council and my then spouse and I decided to go downtown and pay him a visit at his office in the King County court house. We parked downtown a few blocks away and walked there. As we did, we noticed, down an alley on the back of the building, drug deals going down. Don't you think it is odd that drug deals would be happening literally in the shadow of county law enforcement? We did. It has never gotten better from that point.
$5.21?!?! It's less than that in California. At least where I am...
It’s the only reason that they control the rest of the red counties vs 3 blue counties. We’re Right with Trump
I feel sorry for anyone who even visits the lizard den that is Washington State. It is not a place for human beings currently. Get out of there safely my friend, and do not look back. God be with you. Amen.
The entire state of Washington is a progressive corruptocracy. Consequent to a couple of decades of solely mail-in voting. It's the only way progressives ever gain and retain control
Narcolepsy is a serious problem.
And yet KVI 570 is the first and still-operating conservative talk show radio station. The fight goes on. But the city fathers have decided their constituency is really the homeless living dead, drug addicts, and rank criminals. We also have the problem of the domiciled living dead, but that's a given. Seattle has perfected the art of creating ugliness where there once was beauty. (I am thinking of Seattle City Center, remaining from the 1962 World's Fair, with a long vista and artistic fountain, now totally filled-in with multi-story commercial buildings.)
We went last year! Hope you love it! Next Sunday try to visit the bottom of the Space Needle at night. We made very dear friends on our cruise. They are from Huntsville.
One of my nieces lives a little ways south of there. I worry about her a bit. She makes plenty of money and can kick a soy boy’s ass, but I worry about her finding a good man.
The problematic counties are Snohomish, King, and Pierce. South of Tacoma is Joint Base Lewis-McChord (Army and Air Force). The ethos is more acceptable outside those counties, and much more so across the mountains into eastern Washington. Tell her to look for a man who loves animals, shoots guns, and rides horses.
In fact, my advice for women looking for men is to take up shooting. The clientele at gun ranges is mostly men of conservative leaning, and they would be unable to resist the plight of a woman who asks for some help. Especially if she is shooting pistol of 9mm or higher caliber, or a long arm of at least .30 caliber. (Anything less is regarded as wimpy for a man.) Taking an introductory shooting class is preparation. Plus, it is the very best form of personal defense.
It is a beautiful state, and this is also what happens when Californians are driven out of their state by insane government policies, to shit the same way when they are here. "Don't Californicate Washington" is a venerable slogan.
That is a good suggestion. She used to be Olympic caliber archer. She used to work out with the Olympians for fun. Shooting should come easy.
Years ago, I went to a shooting class, evenings of book work and weekends of practical exercise. There were a number of young women in the class, not all of them enthusiastic, because they were under duress of needing protection from jealous ex-boyfriends and such. It turned out, they were some of the better performing class members, because they had no testosterone-driven pride in questioning the instructor. They just listened and learned. And a curious thing developed. As they discovered they could be good shots, their whole attitude toward what they were doing turned around to a very positive view. I found it to be a lesson, that people find it hard to be dubious or afraid of what they find they can do well.
I love LT! How was the cruise?
It's incredible so far!!!
