The FBI alone has a policy of triplet backups, so there are at least three original copies of what was found somewhere. Then they email and share it, so it's there. The NYPD had at least one list. Alan Dershowitz has said several times he has a copy of the original list as has Matt Gaetz. Gaetz was just on Fox telling people to forget about the Epstein list because it was meaningless.
If he said that, it sounds like it could be a double entendre, and therefore sound bad without the proper context.
Like when the Democrats say "they will hurt our democracy!" What they mean is the democracy of the cabal, not the republic that is USA. We know to be careful not to conflate the two, but it happens all the time.
Given they have the list, the end result could be any number of things:.
For example, statute of limitations could be expired, so meaningless from a legal perspective. Could be everyone on the list is dead, only body doubles remain. Could be everyone on the list is already going to be indicted on other stuff, so it's not needed.
Personnally I don't care the reason, release it anyways.

I heard an interesting thought on a local radio station today. A person said the Deep State is actually the people that work for the senators and congress people. They kind of cycle through their positions and aren't changed that much, if at all. They write the laws and take care of the daily business. It sure sounded good to me. I wonder if our president has thought about cleaning them out? Or are these the people he is cleaning out currently?
Whoever said this is very intelligent. They are called the handlers. There's a series of books about that. It was written by an author in WA state.
He went into Congress. The first day he was handed a phone and a list of numbers to contact his uber donors (the capitalists). If you don't have donors, and unless you are already a millionaire, you won't be able to get into Congress in the first place. Secondly, unless you have funders, you cannot get into any type of positions to do anything whatsoever.
He said he was doing a marketing position for many weeks and months. He got tired of it. The problem with that is once the donors give you the money, you are beholden to them and then, they insert their people to write whatever laws or rules to benefit themselves. Hence the handlers

There is this little process called investigation and indictment that precedes and enables arrest. That takes time. It is perfectly reasonable to pull the plug on their employment and let them figure out what to do next while they are being investigated and a case is being prepared against them. It also softens them up for turning states' evidence.

What is there to investigate? There were already reports last year on how he was not correctly appointed. And he clearly engaged in election interference in an election year. Besides, it's been 6 months ffs. We only have about 13 months til the other side likely takes house back and stops everything in its tracks We simply dont have time for pissing about.

"Investigation" means gathering and documenting evidence and testimony to support an indictment and a prosecution. If there is nothing to investigate, there is no crime. It can be as simple as putting into formal order the evidence and testimony known. I was referring to the situation of the post about the purge of DOJ officials. So were you. We have nothing on them at this point.
Or are you arguing that a system of "justice" should omit any investigations, or indictments, arrest at pleasure anyone you deem culpable of whatever, and try them on the basis of....what? No evidence? No testimony? You can't possibly be serious.

Look, the topic is getting rid of DOJ staff, for any number of reasons, none of which may involve criminality. But, even so, if there were criminality, it would take some time to put together the prosecution paperwork, etc. The topic was not blatancy of Congress-critters. Meanwhile, Trump and the DOJ are doing their best to put away murderers and child molesters...and you think they should higher-prioritize mere bad behavior? Their time will come, but saving children and locking up killers is more urgent. Unless you disagree...?
