Bill Summary:
Existing law permits the governing body of a city or district to request that the county render specified services to the city or district regarding the conduct of an election. This bill would prohibit a local government from enacting or enforcing any charter provision, ordinance, or regulation requiring a person to present identification for the purpose of voting or submitting a ballot at any polling place, vote center, or other location where ballots are cast or submitted, as specified.
The bill would include findings that changes proposed by this bill address a matter of statewide concern rather than a municipal affair and, therefore, apply to all cities, including charter cities.

Absolutely insane
I know, right? I'm working on an investigative journal article now on exactly how the vote fraud machine works. I believe NGOS are being paid by the state to find "voters." However, it seems the orgs getting the funds are not willing to be interviewed about what they do in exchange for the $. What a surprise. ๐คจ
Really?
The Dems NEVER want to give up California
CA is one of their strongholds. They are fighting tooth and nail to keep us.
Red state, blu cities.
Not all the cities are blue. Most of the cities in Orange county are solidly red, but blue keeps winning. San Diego county is solidly purple, yet the blue keeps winning even though the constituents complain and complain about what a bad job the blues are doing.
Those who vote decide nothing. Those who count the vote decide everything.โ

California stupidy will generate enough negative energy to cause a 9.0 earthquake. Watch California.
I hope so. I hope the current CA government goes down soon and the rest of the states follow our example.
A federal law in a federal election should override this, shouldn't it? Just asking.
The timing of your comment is uncanny because my friend just texted me with the same question. As the law states, if someone from CA is voting in a federal election, no ID allowed. My guess is Bondi will sue over this since it obviously affects federal elections.
Good now the justice dept. Can sue them.
A big percentage of those legislators that voted for it don't have current oaths. If Bondi arrests everyone without an oath, then that bill and most of the other bills that have passed this year will have to be voided.
Do you think it would be Bondi? I'm thinking military is the only way.
On the other hand, I guess Bondi's the only one to petition at the moment.
I believe that working without an oath = foreign agent posing as a government agent, which is a crime that does fall under the purview of the military.
Hmm. I think proving someone is a foreign agent requires more. But I think they have it for wherever it's true.
I think that several of the bills they've passed this year qualify as treason of oath -- for example refusing to making child trafficking a felony for 16 - 17 year olds. I am pretty sure they choose not to take oaths because working without an oat is only 3 years and treason of oath is up to death. But if they commit treasonous acts without an oath - why would they do that if they weren't foreign agent? Especially repeatedly?
Good points. I guess we'll see.
Everyone knows why and it's not about protecting the vast swathes of ID-less brown people.
Even if you take that argument for what it is, that all these people don't have ID but still have the right to vote.. that is NOT an unsolvable problem! Get them some IDs then!
I'd be happy for my tax dollars to go towards getting these people IDs if it means we can have secure elections. It's the day of an election? Well here is a mobile ID station, you can get you picture and print it out right there. Don't have the right documentation with you? Here is a taxpayer funded shuttle to take you wherever you need to go to get it. If your going to pretend your reasons are about muh racism, you can't also pretend your invented problem is unsolvable!
What a brilliant action step to solve the "problem!" (and simultaneously expose its not a problem when no one shows up to this fantastic service).
So when does the DOJ a file suit on our behalf for violating our civil rights by diluting out vote?
I hope soon. And I hope she arrests and prosecutes all the politicians currently working without oaths. Most of the bills that passed will be voided because such a high % don't have oaths.
