If that is a morning pic, then it is probably Venus and another planet.
I read that after the full moon earlier this wk., that there would be an alignment of a few planets. (Source: Date and Time)
SSE just above the horizon from central TX you have Jupiter with Venus eclipsing it and then below that you have mercury. I use SkyView app daily to watch the solar system do its thing - handy for these things for sure.
The past two mornings they were horizontal (bright or larger light to the south), this morning they were vertical ( larger light on the bottom). I'm interested to find out what they are.
yes saw those for 2 days here in Mi. 1st morning they were about horizontal yesterday about a 60 deg angle apart ... I wondered what it was but i think it is 2 planets visable...didnt notice them today cloudy and rainy
According to the Farmers Almanac these are two of the six planets whose orbits will place them in an arc formation in the sky during August 2025. The light of the full moon is limiting the appearance of the other four. A star/planet app would tell you which planets they are.
This is a neat website.. https://stellarium-web.org/
There is also a more full featured PC app (Linux,Mac,Windows) which is open-source.
Set your location in the bottom left if it's not done automatically.
Set the time of observation in the bottom right.
Click and drag to look in the same direction as the photo. You can also scroll to zoom in/out.
It is Venus and Jupiter rising in the east.

Venus below, Jupiter above.
Venus and Mars?
Venus & Mercury or Mars?

They are planets, Yes, they move slightly every night, and yes they sometimes look like they are lose together, in the sky.
They are not moving
I thought it was Starlink but because they don't move, it can't be
Thank you!
Nice pic. You fotographed it facing east?
Here is a "handy" guide on using your hands to estimate angular differences. A very crude but helpful astrolabium.
Using these methods, OP could post a little more information as to the objects of interest.
u/Podger mentioned: stellarium.
With this software, you could also not only include stars, planets and astronomical signs, but also satellites and other space objects.

Yeah Venus and something. https://www.timeanddate.com/astronomy/night/

Please stay on topic
It looked suspicious and I thought it was related to a government related project of some kind. It was relevant given that.
