Title: Congress does not have to accept Trump's electoral votes
The article argues that Congress has the constitutional authority to block Donald Trump from taking office due to his alleged engagement in insurrection, as outlined in Section 3 of the 14th Amendment. This section disqualifies anyone who has previously taken an oath to support the Constitution and later engages in insurrection or rebellion. The authors cite Trump's second impeachment trial and a Colorado court ruling affirming that he engaged in insurrection as evidence supporting this claim. Additionally, they highlight the findings of the House Select Committee on the January 6th Capitol attack, which included testimonies from numerous witnesses, many of whom were Republicans.
The article contends that despite a Supreme Court ruling suggesting that federal legislation is needed to enforce Section 3, Congress retains the unique power to reject electoral votes based on constitutional grounds. The authors argue that this rejection does not require Supreme Court approval, as it is a non-reviewable political question. They reference the Electoral Count Act, which outlines the process for resolving disputes regarding Electoral College votes, indicating that a vote for a disqualified candidate is not regularly given.
The authors urge Democrats to take a stand against counting Electoral College votes for Trump unless his disqualification is removed, emphasizing that this is necessary to uphold their oath to defend the Constitution.
Doesn't look like they use Google's results. They have their own search indexes. More info here: https://help.kagi.com/kagi/search-details/search-sources.html
Just from personal use, I haven't noticed any obvious censorship of results.
The problem is that these services are "free" and make all their income from tracking and advertising.
While I hate subscriptions, I find that search is something I use so often that it's worth paying for a quality alternative. I'm using Kagi which has a free trial if you want to check it out. Their search is entirely subscription based and they take no money for advertising. The results are much more like the old days of Google.
You know what I don't get? Is how Mexico can get away with enabling ALL of this..the cartel violence, the migrants, the drugs, the human trafficking. They allow it all to pass right under their noses. How is Mexico considered an ally?
Install the UBlock Origin extension. The best ad blocker in my opinion. I haven't seen ads on Youtube for years.
It's available for Firefox, Chrome and any browser based on those like Brave, Vivaldi etc. Keep in mind that Chrome based browsers will start blocking decent extensions like UBlock soon (look into "Manifest V3" for more info). I stick to Firefox for that reason. You can even install UBlock on Android Firefox (not sure if iPhone Firefox supports extensions).
I too enjoy "the vibes". Singing bowls, tuning forks, synths etc. I've found that if I "let go" enough, there is an effect like sympathetic resonance where my body feels like it's vibrating at the same frequency. I feel it as much as I hear it. Pretty cool.
Drip, drip...
