Here is the reality of Behavior Health today: Many years ago, less than thirty, anyone doing counseling was forbidden to do what the left misnamed "conversion therapy". This referred to the process of helping someone struggling with homosexuality to change their thinking to align with heterosexuality. Few people did this kind of work, and it was very difficult. Then, it was OUTLAWED! Any BH professional trying to help someone overcome their homosexuality was doing something wrong, maybe even criminal. In any case, it was not to be attempted. All those doing counseling or therapy had to sign a paper stating they did or would not do this work. I don't know what the punishment would be for transgressing, but it was severe. So, what THEY called "conversion therapy", even with a Christian client and a Christian counselor agreeing that leaving homosexuality behind would be a good goal, it was FORBIDDEN.
This was before any kind of transgender stuff began in mainstream America. Now, there are many who come to counseling with the transgender ideas locked into their heads, and it is even more difficult to address the issue. If anyone out there has ever tried to talk to someone who believes he or she is in the wrong body, so to speak, you know that trying to discuss this is like talking to an angry wall. A really angry wall. Formerly, those resisting their homosexual inclinations were not angry, they were sorrowful. Now one is met with full out rage if the subject is brought up. This speaks to powerful indoctrination, in my mind. And, indeed, there is plenty of evidence that absolute indoctrination IS the end game. Oh, and RAGE!! and now, plans to murder the non-believers in the trans world. The closest thing to this stance is the jihadi mindset to kill the infidels. Same thing.
