EXACTLY my thinking, Qualified and I suspect that's the main reason the President did so. We shouldn't be using euphemisms for War. Lord knows it's easy enough already for American Leftists to ignore the horrors of war.
Plus I love that this is a call back to the original name of the department prior to 1949.
I agree. On the surface, the name change might appear as though DJT is promoting war, but I believe you are absoutely right. War is what's been going on for God know how many years, and there's been very little "defense" about it.
Ha ha , no more using the " Defense " crap to sell you " Security " . No you mess with the bull you get the horns, done. They are so pissed Mr. President, great job.
When I was a child, the official name was Department of Defense. But, I recall many of the older talking heads would sometimes say "War Department". Never knew way. π€
So much historical ignorance. There was no single predecessor. We did not have a unified department prior to the Department of Defense; we had the Department of War (Army) and the Department of the Navy. At the end of World War II, it was decided to split off the Army Air Forces as a separate service. And, rather than have a third military Department of the Air Force, it was decided to put them all together in a unified Department of Defense.
$20 Billion dollar train to nowhere, $1Billion in PPE To China without product delivered. On and on its an election fraud resident. Getty, Brown, Pelosi installed.
We must remember that this is about war and stop pussyfooting around and calling it only defense... (and I say that at the risk of sounding like a John McCain)
Everybody has always been for defending ourselves, war was what was abhorred. Good for the name change. It will remind people of reality.

I'm going to savor every last second of his presidency.

Now waiting for the IDF to follow suit.

It's a level of being honest about what's actually happening here...
The war on drugs is heating up. No more passive just say no to drugs. It is full court press to cut off the Democrats pay day.
