Good idea. 18 and willing to work? Here's free training. Act like you care, work hard, show your ability to learn. You will be making 200k in three years.
I was pretty proud of myself for replacing some cupboard hinges. Darn thing just about fell off. Little did I know there are so many styles of the darn things. Agree about plumbing repairs too.
Is there an age limit on this? I probably will want to change my career, seeing how I'm unable to find an I.T. job since graduating from college 20 years ago, I'm interested in becoming an electrician instead. Maybe a carpenter as my mom's father, who died when my mom was 7, was a carpenter.
Too bad the idiots our school system are churning out are functionally inadequate to become skilled home builders. Heck, they cannot even read, write, or do simple math equations. About the only skill they have is a strong back to carry 80 pound bags of concrete or sheets of 3/4" plywood. Maybe they will reproduce, somehow, and make better babies.
Idk. Homeschoolers will become the leaders of our country. Their minds will take them to higher levels of success than schleping building materials or pounding nails. But I suppose there will be some homeschoolers who will fall in love with the menial jobs out there. You have a point.
The best engineers have time in working with their hands before designing things for a living... unlike the ones who put starter motors inside transmission bell housings or write children's school curriculum and have not raised a child of their own... home schoolers may start with this but most likely will end up running a crew or two and accumulating rental properties.
The electrician course may be the best bang for the buck
Yeh the HVAC courses sound like they're gonna suck and blow.
You know I didn't even realize what I did there lol, but I see you! Lol terrific
I had a joke for the plumbers but they just replaced my water heater and I'm all out of steam.
The plumbing courses are full of shit.
Carpenter course nail it!
I get hammered in training
🤭😏
Shocking!
The HVAC course is pretty cool too!
A blind guy signed up for the carpentry and picked up a hammer a saw.

I'd love to take classes to learn to make my own plumbing/electrical repairs.
I'm currently taking a pottery class to make my own bowls (not at Home Depot).

I passed it onto homeschoolers too. It's active income, so make sure you have a passive income too!!!
