If that were true -- "they" would be banking on the admiration people had for Mr. Kirk outweighing all other societal influences. I am sure most conservative thinkers considered the loss of Mr. KIrk a tragic event. Some may even blame Israel. But it would be most unlikely that this "blame" would manifest in a way that would require guns being removed from our citizens.
You have to weigh this event against all existing global threats. In the U.K. guns have been outlawed for a long time. Now their population is under threat from a migrant invasion and the populace can not defend themselves. People realize that something like that could happen in our country and for that reason -- I do not believe they would behave in any manner to have their guns removed.
Although Mr. Kirk's death was provocative, when weighed against self preservation -- I believe Americans will choose the latter. They will do nothing to risk their right to bear arms.
Faking an assassination is not a strategy that works on any level. The public already distrust government and you think the MAGA playback is to fake a death on TV and lie to the populace? People who think this is viable have not paid attention to anything since 2016 IMO. Faking Charlie's death would be the dumbest move you could make.
Half-truths, mixed with lies are more insidious than outright lies. Not bad to post about and ask, it shakes up the place and brings out shills, though.

Nothing about the CK incident adds up, but it did have the desired effect.
