I've lived in Western Europe for a considerable amount of time in my life, most of them (even the leftists) have always loved and admired America regardless of who is president. Western Europe is where almost all scientific and philosophical advances were made from the 15th to 20th century until America inherited that position. America, much like Catholic/Protestant Europe, is the land of science and reason, as it was settled by western Europeans during the Scientific Revolution and Age of Enlightenment.
Russia is a sadly declining Christian nation that is still heavily damaged by communism. Russians have always considered themselves more "oriental" compared to the rest of the "occident", and the Russian state built its societal foundations off of the conquering Mongol savages.
