to be honest, honduras is a 3rd world shithole country where lawlessness is the norm. Switzerland is one of the wealthiest countries in our galaxy and it is very civilized..... for now at least... they are allowing in migrants at an alarming rate and the Swiss heritage will be scrubbed the same way Germany did. I've been in both countries multiple times and the changes are quite alarming. Switzerland had better nip it in the bud.... same for the USA.

Their young men are trained in the use of weapons because of their compulsory military service. Permits are required to own guns, training is required to gain a permit, and people are discouraged from carrying unless there is a specific reason why they need to.

Yes, that's an interesting paradox, I quite agree. Their method has created a culture of understanding the usage of weapons, but at what cost to their citizens' freedoms?
We have (in theory, anyway) the right to bear arms, but the freedom not to educate ourselves on those weapons. It would be fascinating if we could create that same culture of education and training on weapons the Swiss have without the compulsory portion.
