I love this reply and I love to see non-white Christian families setting examples for their communities. My statement was a generalization and your pointed and logical response is commendable. One of my biggest problems with blacks is that so many of the non-criminals don't chastise the overwhelming criminal element. During my almost 11 years as a Detention Deputy, I "picked" at the guys all the time. I always instructed them to call their significant others (many had multiple baby mommas) to put in job applications on their behalf if they had a release date or to create business plans if they had a few dollars. Unfortunately, most would spend their time watching music videos or creating lyrics in the day room. There were a few that I had some good conversations with but I'm afraid that most of what I tried to relay fell on deaf ears.
