Mel Gibson just posted last week about how italian bread wasnt making him fat because it is not poisoned with GMO and doused with pesticides.
Have seen that said many times in recent years.
Bread itself is seemingly not the problem (but meat still better) - but frankenfoods with mass chemicals in and on it certainly are.
He is actually in Italy right now or at least he was when he put out his recent video about Italian bread and pasta. We have an Italian grocery store in our area. We can get pasta and flour from Italy.
That is why you must lead by example. When I was recovering and had no choice but to eat slop, I made sure to do bloodwork to show the impact of their "healthy" choices.
Some will still never get it, but not all are irredeemable.
I try to eat 1g of protein for every lb of body weight. THEN I move on to something else. At 180lbs, I struggle to even get enough in some days. Fermented vegetables are great for gut health.
A good "hack" for carbs is to cook them and let them sit overnight in the fridge. Without going into detail, it makes them more digestible and lowers the glucose spike. If I have rice, (buy AMERICAN rice) I'll cook it, let it sit, then heat it up the next day. You can do the same with bread, oatmeal, potatoes etc. You do need some carbs but I consume them sparingly.
FWIW, European wheat gives me no side effects as our poison.
Don’t get me started on my tea concoction.
Green tea, diced onions, pickle juice, lemon juice, and Cheyenne pepper- a wee bit of bourbon. It’s surprisingly good.
This is the way.
This is the way o7

Where does he get his Italian bread?

He was on vacation in Italy
butter meat eggs fish and most importantly sauerkraut! should be the very top
I don't see chocolate or bacon on this flawed chart.
Chocolate is pretty high in oxalate (oxalic acid), bad for the kidneys. But I agree that bacon! should be on there.
SWEAR WORD! I just checked. Yep. Chocolate is VERY high in oxalates.
siiiiiigh.
Imma gonna toss all my "organic" choco bars.
And replace with BACON.
Lose some. WIN SOME.
Thank you for your post, Jan 20. I really really needed to learn this!!
PEACE BE WITH YOU
I think you can still have them sparingly, depending on your reasonings for avoiding oxalates 100%.
At least they left off soy 🤷♂️
Duuuhhhh! I’ve been saying this for years but all my friends think I’m the crazy one!
Crazy is the new cool, unless it’s left wing crazy and that is just lock them up mentally ill.
I've been saying the same. It never made sense to me to have at least 6 servings of bread/carbs. It was the perfect recipe for obesity.
