Anyone remember the story coming out about a month before Trump started talking about acquiring Greenland that LIDAR scans had relocated the "lost" Camp Century?
I think the derp state has a currently operating base where Camp Century is.
Camp Century was a U.S. military scientific research base built beneath the Greenland Ice Sheet in 1959 by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, located approximately 205 km (127 mi) east-northeast of Pituffik Space Base.
It was constructed using a "cut-and-cover" trenching technique, with 21 tunnels totaling 9,800 feet (3.0 km) in length, covered with arched steel roofs and buried under snow and ice.
The base, nicknamed the "city under the ice," housed up to 200 personnel and included facilities such as living quarters, laboratories, a hospital, a theater, a chapel, and a nuclear power plant.
The PM-2A portable nuclear reactor provided power for over three years and demonstrated the feasibility of deploying nuclear reactors in remote Arctic locations.
Interesting. Greenlanders should be able to keep their sovereignty or be independent, however for their security and ours, some property & agreement must be acquired. They can decide how they want to govern themselves, but we will decide how Greenlanders & the western hemisphere shall be protected & defended. This is a benefit to us and them. An eternal treaty & no other alliance with other nations or other bases, or resource investment. The people of Greenland will benefit from approved investment countries and/or corporations. Profit sharing.
AI and data processing centers would benefit greatly from the cold and ice. Forty something percent of these power hogs energy consumption is keeping it cool.
This post reminded me of the recent news regarding the "Russian flagged" ship that we intercepted.
Make no mistake... rogue operators are VERY MUCH - STILL trying to foment a nuclear war between Russia and the US.
On the surface, you would think it was a Russian ship because it was shadowed by a Russian sub... but nay-nay.
What was most likely happening is that Russian sub was ALSO interested in capturing that vessel with hastily painted on Russian flag/markings - Because... It was carrying something it shouldn't have - and they're trying to maintain their honor - in addition to stopping ww3.
Onboard - was either some kind of WMD, or parts of one (yanno Russia is STILL missing nukes that were stolen) OR unsavory personnel out of Venezuela. The ship WAS sitting high in the water... so, yanno - drive sober or get pulled over.
That ship was being watched VERY carefully and the good guys knew what they were going after way before they boarded it...
Greenland would be instrumental in stopping more ships like this with the high tech scanning capabilities Greenland would afford us....
My guess is that the British are involved... especially the London banking cartel
Why should a European Colonial [non] power control a strategic part of North America, which it CANNOT defend against Russian and Chinese interests in the Arctic??
Didn't all colonial powers relinquish their territories LONG AGO?!?
Nope. France would still be in Vietnam except for the war. They kept a bunch of Caribbean islands in addition to St Pierre and Miquelon off eastern Canada. Spain and Holland kept a bunch of islands too.
Bigger than that… project ice worm. Secret military base built under ice in green land….built during cold war. My guess is massive amounts of resources (rare earths)found in the ground…. Basically a “get fucked… china is asshoe” moment
It is not so much the minerals on land .It is the deal that ,Whatever country owns land next to Artic Circle.
The artic sea shelf is the mother load of minerals! It has already been settled that the more land a county owns the more right they have to mine the artic sea shelf.

how the heck did they lose a massive base??
Awww. Explains a lot. Thank you.

Very important strategic position.

Denmark got a pass, cause it wasn't considered valuable.
I remember when the left in Europe was against colonies.
They still are.

I believe it is the beginning of pulling out of NATO, but we need a new launching area
This Netflix clip from “The Diplomat” was shown by Bannon on Warroom…
Nuc Sub Scotland base The Diplomat
Plus the UK especially Scotland is looking to ban ships and subs with nuclear weapons from their bases.

The Norwegian Navy has sub bases along its western coast, The Lofoten Islands have a couple of natural harbours and further south is Scapa Flow.
Future home of Joint Base Babbitt.
