I noticed that YouTube is getting filthier with the Content they offer. Yesterday at the top of my feed they was a video about asking women about orgasms. We are fast approaching Weimar conditions. Before Wars, Immorality peaks, Historically. They are ramping up these preconditions before all out War. NOBODY wants this.

I actually think this is fine... great even. Maybe this bothers people that aren't involved with their kids and especially their online use. When my daughter recently turned 13 she was all excited about the content she can get to again (and non of it was porn - just games that I play with her). I manage her google account and it is part of our "family" account on there. Hype like this doesn't do anything but gaslight folks into thinking they need to shelter their children instead of getting involved with what they are doing.

This situation side steps the parents ability to be involved by emailing the child directly, early, telling them that they themselves can remove the parental controls on their own without a parent...

My commendations on being involved with your daughter, google not so much. It's actually way more fun and constructive to find ways to never use their "services".
If these games are Android from the Google Playstore they will undoubtedly be egregious bio-metric data harvesting free-for-all's just for starters. I’m married to a computer programmer, his opinion is unless the computer has no internet connection, your children are basically “safe”, but once they enter the “www” that protection is gone. There is no actual service that can filter the bad stuff out, he’s looked into it for our home. It’s crazy what some parents choose to let their kids do, I guess it’s an “older generation” thing?

My approach is no personal smart devices till your 16 ish or until you demonstrate a level of critical thinking for your age. I've seen enough young kids on devices consuming unfiltered, continous brain rotting content. And I see how these kids behave as well. Constantly distracted, impatient, bouncing of walls, poor listeners, need instant gratification. Iam not perfect, but I am trying to limit exposure and trickle it slowly to my kiddos. As they grow older, their brains develop enough to understand what is good and what is not healthy, so when they are exposed to this content they know to turn it off or walk away. But it hard when households dont do similar things with their kids and you get a spectrum of behaviors that my kids have to contend with. On the bright side, they learn quickly.
Google is not being read by a lot of adults anymore. They need their numbers up, what better way than to make it available to children. If parents are doing their job they can just turn this option off or delete the site. Take charge of your children parents. And ,why would a 13 or. old need anything but a basic flip phone that makes phone calls and text. Just saying
because laws like the one in Texas that was passed appstore ID Verification to "Protect the kids" from accessing inappropriate apps but also weather, news, bible apps, any app that isnt even adult. Thus they have to find out how old the user is in some way.
