Hard to know what is real these days but would not be surprised. Police will have seen the rampant corruption and been frustrated and where you have organised crime like that you usually see a lot of violent acts.

It’s reliant on a few things. One of which is them actually being willing to follow said order from Trump. Given the not exactly uncommon political issues with the Officer Corps. It’s not completely impossible they’d refuse orders. Especially now as tensions are ratcheting up and political battle lines are being drawn.
A random Federal Judge could also choose to intervene with some 11th hour declaration. Which given the past track record isn’t an unlikely outcome.

I look at it like pieces being moved into place. "If" Tim called them up , it just takes an order from POTUS to take control of them.
