There is a BIG difference between surviving and living.
Many victims of WWII went on to live their lives.
If people are in hiding, they survive in constant fear of exposure. That's not living.
He was living just fine and very comfortable in a small village near Buenos Aires. At the time, Buenos Aires had the largest Jewish population in all of South America. What a strange place for Hitler to flee to especially if Mossad, that was designed to hunt down Nazis, was looking for him.
