Hitchens was attacked as a liar or worse for exposing "a saint," even thought his facts were well documented. Most people didn't want to hear it. They want their idols.
Idolatry is a basis of catholicism
I asked a college girl who works preschool with me, (Do you think Mother Teresa was a child trafficker?) She said I don't want to know about any of that because my mom is a Catholic and it would hurt her. Everyone will pick and chose what they want to believe. If the government doesn't admit anything or hold anyone accountable we are back to square one, Our word against everyone else's.
This is no less than the third very big allegation tweet posted here from MrPool in the last month.
Several accounts (handshakes fwiw) brought up that the account has a terrible track record during the first tweet, and has been a scammer.
This is not a judgment of the account. That handshakes called him out isn’t the end of the claims. That the claims keep being huge isn’t the end of the claims. However, we should absolutely do some good verification on these before running with them, and I say that as someone who suspects that each of the tweets is at least partially true.
The more we want to think they’re true, the more we should verify.

Although, this is one that I would prefer is not true just based on the principal of it. Nothing to do with Catholicism, but that's a whole bunch of kid's lives that were destroyed. I'm prepared to accept that it is true, if there is actual proof, but I hope it's not.
