Yeah, the Republicans spent $70-$100 mil on Cornyn (vs Paxton's <$10 mil) and he still couldn't get a decisive win. That might indicate that, although he should have name recognition and is a "known quantity", he's not well-liked and might not be able to win even with more massive spending.
