I've been following Mullin on social media for a while. He's been rock-solid MAGA for the time I've been following. I did notice something back in November during the 1st filibuster of the budget. He was solidly behind the 60-vote rule to break the filibuster. I made note of it because this was something I didn't agree with him on. Then the President became more vocal about changing the rule. He changed his stance on it. He was suddenly for changing the rule. I'm not sure exactly what that says about him. But I thought it was interesting. Is he sucking up to the President? Or maybe he's flexible enough to actually change his stance on things if a good argument is made. Regardless, I do like the guy a lot.
It shows that he has loyalty, which is the highest of all principles. Sometimes people are wrong, and being able to admit that and align with President Trump is exactly what we need.
During the January 6 United States Capitol attack, Mullin and Representatives Troy Nehls (a former sheriff and Army veteran) and Pat Fallon (an Air Force veteran) helped U.S. Capitol Police build barricades and protect the doors to the House Chamber from the rioters.[43] He and many of his colleagues were later ushered to a secure location, where he declined offers to wear a mask, in violation of House rules.[44][45] Mullin said that he witnessed the shooting of Trump supporter Ashli Babbitt during the attack, which occurred after she climbed through a barricade leading toward the House Chamber; Mullin said the Capitol police officer had no choice but to shoot, and that this action saved people's lives, with members of Congress and their staff in danger from the mob.[46][47][48][49]
In January 2025, although Mullin had said that Capitol rioters who committed violent crimes "need to pay for that", upon being asked about Trump's pardon of Capitol attack defendants, he replied: "Well, are we making a big deal about the pardons that Biden put in place? That'd be worse."[50]
helped U.S. Capitol Police build barricades and protect the doors to the House Chamber from the rioters
There were tens of thousands of people there and we know lots of Antifa and other non MAGA were present. He had no way of knowing who might come through the doors whether friend or foe.
declined to wear a mask
Shows he wasn't falling for any hysterics and was sceptical of Covid
said the Capitol police officer had no choice but to shoot
Mullins "“His actions will be judged in a lot of different ways moving forward, but his actions I believe saved people’s lives even more. Unfortunately, it did take one, though.”
I refer back to the friend or foe statement. These comments were also taken just a couple of days after Jan 6.
rioters who committed violent crimes "need to pay for that"
There were violent rioters there and we know who they were. MAGA folk knew who they were on the day and called them out.
And finally he says the pardons Biden is dishing out are worse than Trump's of the Jan 6 defendants. This guy is not swayed by media hype and sees who the real criminals are.
I think a better idea of his loyalty is that he supports the claim the 2020 election was stolen from Trump.

Wellll, if it's from Wikipedia the only way it could be MORE reliable is if it was on CNN...
Kek
That is the point...that seems to be an OUTRIGHT LIE on Wikipedia...hmmm
The Truth is the OPPOSITE of everything written on Wikipedia
ashli babbitt was a crisis actor, and there was no plausible reason to shoot her.
therefore this guy is a lying pos
Doesn’t exactly sound like the kind of fella that we need.
Like I said earlier, he is willing to change his mind when President Trump sets the narrative. What more could we ask for?

Second highest after honor. Learned that from the film Striking Distance I saw when I was a kid. I never forgot it.
"Loyalty above all else, except honor."
