I don't think Washington DC is "stuck". I believe the main stream news is ferreting out anyone they can with any voice of authority to criticize Trump. They have nothing left. The Iranian war is going exceptionally well... and one thing this general doesn't understand is that the Iranian people, along with the Kurdish and other regional militias will finish off the IRGC and install a new Iranian government to replace the mullahs. The U.S. will likely have strategic boots on the ground on Karg Island, Iran, but we probably won't see official U.S. troops on the mainland in Iran.
