Agreed, but I think the fine should be a percentage of net worth. That way it would actually hurt the crooked politicians that make their money elsewhere.

Honestly they should be fined. First 10 days $1,000 per day. Next 10 $20,000 per day. After 20 days they should all be fined $100,000 dollars per day.
To shut down the government is to hold the government hostage. Maybe they should charged with treason for it.
