I was a consummate stutterer until I went to a Speech Pathologist and she, over a summer, help me get over my brain-to-speech problem...and that is EXACTLY what it is...the brain is in high gear but the connection from the brain-to-the-mouth is rather SLOW!!!!!!!! I often stutter but NOT as I did before I went into the US Military!!!!!!
Also, thank you for those fond memories of sitting with a speech therapist over the summers and learning how to talk without stuttering...God Bless ya'!!!!!
I agree. Just try singing the "happy birthday" song or the Star Spangled Banner in the privacy of your own home. Once you get the mind and lips sinc-ed, then you are half way there. Maybe even try singing within your mind during a conversation with your wife. "No, honey, I don't want to take out the trash today". It might make for some light moments within your house, too. kek.
