Not sure if true or not, but interesting perspective. I guess having grown up with several farm cats and dogs roaming around the property, I gotta admit there is just something soothing about lying on the porch swing with a cat who has decided to climb up and purr you into a deep sleep.

ANY animal you harbor as a pet is going to have parasites and probably will give them to you repeatedly. If you're a "NASTY" pet owner who does not cleanup immediately after your pet and care for their health, your health, and those of others...then you're the parasite!
Cats are disease-ridden parasite-spreaders that create mess, chaos and disorder everywhere they tread.
Have had multiple cats in the family house for years. Mother will not donate them to others. She thinks the only options are to live out their entire natural lives, or to kill them. The entire house smells like piss, poop and puke.
