“The Ukraine” is merely a region of Russia,
just like “The Midwest” is merely a region of USA…
Kiev is the historical capital city of Russia
during this long running propaganda campaign,
they have tried to legitimize the concept of “Ukraine” as some independent country.
its not.
it was invented by the stroke of a pen by bolshevicks and USSR
One of the most effective ways that they have legitimized the idea of “The Ukraine” as an independent country,
is to drop the “The” from “The Ukraine”
and just call it “Ukraine”
so i reckon that the most effective ways to un-fuck the Ukraine,
is to add the “the” back to the front of “The Ukraine”
wars and rumors of wars

What I noticed was the media trying to get me to pronounce Kiev as Keev. I'm GenX, so I heard the soviet pronunciation most of my life. This was yet another attempt to redefine our perspective.
thanks for bringing that up!
now that you mention it, it was just like you said,
they tried to get us to change how we pronounce kiev
the US wouldnt tolerate USSR missles in Cuba,
so why should the US expect Russia to tolerate NATO in “THE Ukraine”
and why are our tax dollars going to this phony bologna “war” anyway
if Russia wanted to advance thru THE ukraine, nothing would stop them for this long
the intent isnt to win a war,
but to prolong a war
the military industrial complex has bills to pay too
I was there several years ago. As I recall, native Ukrainians pronounce it Keev.
I thought that Ukrainians still think there are two syllables in the word Kyiv. It is just that the Russians pronounce it Kee-eff and the Ukrainians pronounce it Kee-iff. If you say the Ukrainian version quickly it can sound like Keeve but it is actually not.
Also, if pronouncing capital cities correctly matters, why do we still say Moscow? Moskva, with the accent on the second syllable, would be closer.
They did it with faggot, tranny, etc. too
Russia of today are pretty much the least bolshevik country in the world.
Ukraine isn't messed up because of what we call it, is messed up partially because Victoria Nuland said the CIA spent 5 billion dollars trying to rip it out of Russia's sphere of influence after the USSR fell in 1991.
Eastern Ukraine identify as modern-day Russians. Western Ukraine want to identify as the next NATO country, because George Soros paid for people to demonstrate "proving" they want it.
The low-level-corrupt citizens of Ukraine are mostly victim to George Soros and a whole lot of high-level-corrupt individuals burning their country down and trying to capitalize on it with fire-sale prices.
It's been an extremely long running campaign to burn Ukraine down. Back in 2005, a young senator Obama flew to Western Ukraine primarily to disarm them. There's photos of him standing in a bay with tons of munitions they were destroying.
Then later on, Obama armed Western Ukraine as POTUS. He disarmed East Ukraine and then armed West Ukraine.
Western Ukraine is filled with actual Nazis, who were then funded by Soros and Ihor Kolomoisky.
Ukraine was one of the most corrupt countries in the world prior to being hijacked by Soros and former US administrations.
Tracing Ukraine's problems to something that happened more than 100 years ago is probably less helpful than tracing what happened to it under the Obama administration.
I believe that the Ukraine means something like border land. For the Russian Empire it was.
That's right.
Ukraine officially declared itself a sovereign and independent country on August 24, 1991, when the Supreme Soviet of the Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic adopted the Act of Declaration of Independence.
My mom's family is from Saratov Russia and North Eastern Ukraine area. I grew up always hearing the area called the Ukraine. I was confused when I heard of it being referred to as just Ukraine.
I lived all my life in the UK and it was the same here.
yes Putin did a good job of explaining all this during his Tucker interview

My mother's family are from Russia and the Ukraine. They escaped prior to the Bolsheviks completely overrunning the place. The straw that broke the camel's back for my great-grandfather and my grandfather was when the Russian Federation started confiscating weapons. That was their cue to leave. My grandfather always said, never let the government take your guns.
Speaking of Tucker in Russia, highly unlikely he will ever be able to go there for another interview.
He comes off as irrational now. Which equates to untrustworthy, in my book anyway
rabbit hole: do a google image search for maps of kazaria, ukraine, babylon,
save all these maps and make a collage to share with one image
AFAIK, "Ukraine" comes from the Russian [okraina], meaning outskirts, periphery. Aka "ukraine" originally means "the borderlands".
Hence, "the ukraine" rather than "Ukraine".
