Tucker Carlson was fired from Fox news because he was one of very few journalists to cover the 2020 election steal.
Netanyahu raced to congratulate Biden. Mark Levin, Shapiro et al were "never Trump" initially. Trump had to win them round. He has to keep the juice lobby on side: comfortable enough to overreach. Which they are doing. These are people who would like to lock you up for your negative opinions of Israel etc.
So Trump must attack Tucker. Just like he must endorse the vaccine.
These are Trump's constraints - but you don't have to take the vaccine and you don't have to align yourself with lunatics like Mark Levin or Netanyahu. You do not have to hate Tucker either.
POTUS...must remain neutral for pure optical reasons.
How do you capture a very dangerous animal? you construct a trap, a square enclosure, one length of fence at a time. You bait it. You have the animal consider you a friendly.
Mark Levin pretty much demands Trump be enemies with Tucker. Doesn't mean you have to be, because you don't need to keep Levin on side.
Having said that, It doesn't matter what you choose to do, it is all factored in, it is all accounted for.
But you do not need to take the vaccine.
For what it is worth, my expectation is that one day, Indictments do come, and they do not land on Tucker. And one day, in his memoir maybe, Trump tells you straight: I pretended - I took all those slings and arrows gladly, for you.
Because it is very very clear: Tucker loves the USA way way way more than Levin or Shapiro. I'll bet Tucker loves Trump more than they do too.
And if I am wrong. It means Trump has been turned into their vassal - and I cannot ever believe that. Enjoy the show.
Better to form no opinion on this particular matter because in the grand scheme, it's just another distraction away from what matters.
Whilst that is good advice, sometimes having an opinion is unavoidable given the context you uniquely have around you. No need to let it overpower your judgement, no need to feel good or bad about it, no need to change it under social or loyalty pressure, no need to hide it, keep quiet about it, or speak it, or push it on someone else at the expense of your quality of life and relationships.
Let's see what happens, and keep discussion "full spectrum".

I too withhold judgment on Tucker, etc. There is a lot of miss direction, KAYFABE, and street cred building in this movie that is not a straight line. Could Tucker be building street cred by questioning the President before the election 2020 starts really dropping and is back on the train? Only time will tell. Lots of twists and turns.

Tucker has been relentlessly attacking Trump over the Iran War. Trump counterpunched, taking out Tucker, Levin, Megan Kelly, and the other pretenders. It's really that simple.
I detect no guile in Tucker. Trump on the other hand is always playing chess. Tucker doesn’t appear to be in on the real game to me, but I don’t fault him for that. Maybe he’ll stumble upon Promethean Action soon and straighten out. It wouldn’t be the first time he realized he was wrong and publicly admitted it. I think he’d make a phenomenal President someday. Just not today.

What exactly do you think "neutral" means? Because I'm not sure you could say he's been "neutral" about Tucker or others that have turned against him, and rightfully so.
I just don't think you understand what "neutral" means. It doesn't mean he "must attack Tucker". Your words, not mine.
I think you're confusing something along the lines of a smokescreen with being neutral.
Just to be clear, I'm not criticizing President Trump over anything. I'm just disagreeing with your idea that him calling out his detractors is being neutral.
